Yeah surrounded by farms and fields here but different to normal pest control, etc. was initially 2-3 minutes of relatively rapid fire from at least 3-4 guns then short bursts of around 3 shots every 2-3 minutes.
We've had similar. Don't know wtf is going on.
Didn't sound like re-enactment but possible something like that, normally we'd have fliers through the door if there was.
This has been in the woods near us, definitely not a reenactment as its the usual boxed up pickups and range rovers.
I can hear a bit of shouting and dogs barking now so I'm guessing hunting related - but a bit unusual - pretty rare actually around here for anyone to be shooting without a modifier/silencer as well.
May be a cull.
May be - I've lived here 6 years now so used to the regular hunting and pest control, etc. and it wasn't like that.
Guess it makes sense if it was mass culling followed by cleaning up.

Culling what, surely not livestock by themselves? I thought it was a trip to the abattoir?
Wouldn't be livestock, don't have a clue though rat activity has picked up a bit recently.
Remember foot and mouth. Mass burnings in fields and I'm sure they did not cull with injections for large animals
Would be an exception though. I think the most likely explanation as above is they flushed out a bunch of pests in one go then mopped up.
These definitely weren't air rifles :s mind you some of the rats are a good size, unfortunately rolled off the CCTV now but there was one sniffing around the back of the house the other night that wasn't far off the size of a cat.

I think I'm the dumbest person on earth.
I wanted to make an outworld for my ants for easy feeding until a proper founding nest/outworld comes in the post.
so I found a tuppaware box, drill a 16mm hole in the side for the tube to attach, because thats how most of them look online.
Then I realised I could have just put the test tube in the tube with airholes... and its probably a lot easier for them to drag food into the tube and dump their waste outside of it

You've got to love posting on Reddit. I reported 5 or 6 posts in a row on a sub last night. The sub is for specific content and there is a rule about the post having to include that content. So I reported those posts for that reason. This morning I've got a warning on my account and a long message from Reddit about creating a safe place for people, not "harassing" mods, etc. 
I honestly could have reported another 5 but thought I'd leave it there to make the point.
What I don't understand is when I post something that breaks a rule (even though I usually don't) the post gets deleted, I get told off, blah, blah, blah. They just make **** up as they go.
