Hi sports team,

I'm getting random but frequent black screen events which I think is driver related but looking for advice on how to trouble shoot this. I've rolled back to 566.36 which seems to help but even out outside gaming I'm still getting a 2 second black screen probably once every 20 mins then back to normal.

Hardware or software, what do you reckon?

Wait... a serious post from... who...? :D

Sounds like it could be DP (titter) cable related to me, got a spare one you can swap in?

edit OR drop your refresh rate to 60hz. I had a bit of a time at 3440x1440 at high refresh rates initially and the problem presented like yours. Decent cable took care of the problem.

When I experienced this with my LG 27Gp950 monitor a firmware update is what fixed the problem for me.

So if you haven't yet tried maybe see if an update is available for your monitor.

You still with my ex?

Is this a new development or happened since you had the GPU?

Try running at a lower refresh to see if it goes away. EDIT: Already mentioned above.

Make sure the 12v HPWR cable is connected properly as they can be a bit of a pain.

Also worth trying disabling the app overlay in the nV App.
