*** The Official Nintendo Switch 2 ***

Amazon sent my Xbox One X out with Hermes, who promptly did what Hermes always did and lost or stole it. While they did deliver my PS5 ok, plenty of other people got cat litter. Fingers crossed they go with one-time codes for the Switch 2 launch.

I had that happen with my "Day One" Xbox (2013). Had the Amazon map tracking it and it showed the van go straight past my street and then it showed my console was "delivered." Had no problems getting a refund but would have preferred the actual console which wasn't easy for the next few months. Just going to film myself opening the package, assuming I receive a package at all of course.

Dbrand selling their killswitch case for this now too, anyone have any experience? its quite pricey but looks nice.

Anyone found a decent full case yet aside from the official one.
I bought the ProCase Slim a while ago ready for the Switch 2, quality is pretty good for the price at £14.44. Quite a nice soft interior as well, hopefully it's a good fit.

Just got this email and thought I had missed the fact that OCuk was doing Switch2 pre-orders all along. I would have pre-ordered from here for that haribo...

Yes I got a Tomtoc delivered already, it actually looks quite good and good size considering the size of the switch.

I currently have a preorder with Nintendo and I also preordered with Amazon the other day as a backup.
I want to cancel one of these orders, which one do you think I should go for from a warranty handling point of view?

Nintendo should have had money taken by now...

If it is almost anything else, I would stay with Amazon, for their returns and CS. I have never bought anything physical from Nintendo store because so I don't know how difficult it is to handle return if anything goes wrong.

Thanks Raymond I was also thinking the same. Ive submitted cancellation to Nintendo.

On another note, does anyone understand the difference between the different pokemon games on Switch? E.g. Is Violet/Scarlet, Sword/Shield the same kind of games as Z-A Legends?

Switch 2 - Argos
Pro Controller 2 - Argos
Gamecube controllers - Nintendo
Case - Amazon
SD Card - Amazon

The Amazon items say Friday and Saturday where as the others are confirmed for Thursday

I know everybody is holding hope for their Amazon orders, but look what happened with the PS5 30th Anniversary Slim and the 30th Anniversary controllers. Amazon dispatched them on release day, so people didn't get them until a day or two after everybody else. My controller from Curry's arrived 2 days before the one I pre-ordered from Amazon.

Just had an email from Nintendo confirming my Gamecube Controllers will be delivered on Thursday, nice!

Ditto. Well 3 as my Switch 2, Gamecube and Pro Controller were all individual orders because of how they were handled.

Unfortunately this is a Birthday present from the family so no launch day fun for me, will have to wait a few days.

Haven't given any thought to transferring data, although having only recently run into the new Game Card DRM update on the original Switch (which is awful) I think I'll just have to see how that goes. i.e. if I have to nominate the Switch 2 as the one console I can share games with, or make it the new home console (currently have multiple Switch consoles). Other thing I am waiting to see confirmed is whether Switch 2 maintains the same USB Audio Class 1 support, or if consoles have moved out of the dark ages with full UAC 2.0 support (which I'm guessing is not going to be the case). But I haven't seen anyone really talk about this, although given the situation with PS5 Pro's much improved USB audio go unnoticed even 8-months on that doesn't surprise me.

I'm really not fussed if mine arrives on release day. I'm not 10 years old anymore, have grown a bit more patience since then.

I only work Monday to Thursday so it really doesn't make a difference when it comes. Not like I'm going to play it for long anyway initially.

I think it's more about the principle, if you pay for something to arrive on release day the company should be providing it.
If they can't provide that service they shouldn't do pre orders and stick to selling them on release day.
