Corsair HX1200i ATX v3.1 (2025) PSU

Cpu would just throttle or shut down if pump isn't working. It shouldn't fry itself
Ok so what's interesting now is that the lights on the fans and the pump flash on for one second when I turn the mains power on then the lights go out. I've connected up the pre-installed case fans and they do the same

You need to verify that the system is actually capable of booting up before doing anything else, you're hyper-focusing on the wrong thing.

If you're not actually bios or Windows capable you might not see RGB firing up.

And rest of cables connected..so the big 24 pin power cable..also the cpu cables that plug into the top left corner..and you're using the right cables? Motherboard seated on risers correctly? The aio pump is screwed down with thermal.paste etc..not left any plastic on the pump etc stopping it working correctly?

Yep got all that done. Gonna connect it up to monitor and see if I can get into the bios

Plugged in to tv via hdmi but nothing happening doesn't even show black screen start up

Edit
Got this from Google
The HDMI port on your motherboard is typically for using the integrated graphics (iGPU) that may be built into your CPU. It allows you to connect a display without needing a separate graphics card, especially if you don't have one or need additional display outputs. The iGPU is often enabled in the BIOS before you can use the HDMI port.

I have hdmi on my motherboard so thinking there should be a cable in there for integrated graphics
Edit 2
No that didn't work either

It was the ram not seated properly. I could cry. Everything i was doing with the fans and aio cooler was correct all along. It's took 2 whole days 25 plus hours, up until well gone midnight disconnecting and reconnecting those darn cables and changing formation of the cables here there and everywhere and it was the bloody ram sticks all along

Thank you, I'll add that to my list of things I need to do
Also noticed your bios is first release FA so probably would update that also but some people are not keen on doing but there's lots of fixes.

Check which revision to make sure.

It looks to be a gpu anti-sag bracket yes. With the weight of gpu's these days I would be using that so as not to put too much weight on the pci-e slot.

Is this something to do with when you bout a graphics card in nonstop it from sagging?

it is the anti sag bracket but it doesn't attach at the pcie slots..to the lower right of the motherbooard. open the page below for 3500x case instruction..click the link where it says installing the gpu in vertical orientation..if you then scroll down on the right it then shows you where to install the antisag bracket when the gpu is installed in horizontal (normal) position...you basically install it to the frame of the case and the adjust the height of the support within the bracket. I'd use it. Discrete and gpu's now can weigh a lot

Thanks.. Could you recomend a keyboard and mouse?
personal choice, esp if you want low profile keyboard, fullsize/96/tkl, wireless etcwe use a corsair k70 pro usb...goes with the rest of our corsair pc at home and controlled via Icue..son loves it..my wife isn't a fan of mechanical and wants a low profile more like a laptop keyboard..as we both deal with numbers, a full size keyboard is a must for us. I've got use to it and don't mind it.. I was tempted by the asus scope 2 96% wireless..quieter typing , but i was concerned the non full layout would be an issue for when I wfh

I dont think I need anything fancy to be honest wont spend as much as a corsair k70 pro... I am wondering now though I had the 2TB Samsung 990 evo delivered Tuesday £108.99 but then I saw that the pro was £129.99 so the small difference in price for better I sent the other back and ordered that. Should that be the one i have the os and programs on or am I best using my slower 1tb Kingston ssd and have the pro for everything else?

You want windows on an m2 drive rather than an older sata SSD just partition your new drive into 2 x 1tb to keep things separate.

Better yet, get 2 ssd's...I wish I'd done that from the start...I just ripped apart my pc to build my youngest son's 1st pc..downside just the one ssd, now my whole games library etc went with it...putting 2 in my new rig...1 for os and all that jazz and my work stuff, the other for my gamelibraries/photo's etc I can take with me... down the line
modern mobo can take 3-5 ssd's now, so plenty of space
