*** The Official Nintendo Switch 2 ***

Always hate screen protector applications. I've got pretty good at it in recent times though - phones, iPads etc and I'm so picky that I can't stand even a single speck of dust. I always get a bit of masking tape and go all over the screen with it repeatedly, even when it looks clean and that seems to work. If I do get a speck or two of dust then I just lift it with a nail slightly and slide a bit of masking tape underneath and then use that to pull it out.

Quite shocked that I could go and easily pick one of these up from my local argos.

Is the world healing?

Probably more likely Nintendo finished designing it about 3 years ago and have been building stock ever since, just waiting for Switch sales to dip below a trigger point before they felt the need to release it :p

Slap it on and worry about it later, it's not that deep.

It's easier to get it right first time than slap it on, get annoyed by dust underneath and then redo it.

@Cromulent connection test topping out at 265Mbps. I have gigabit internet and was right by router.
My phone gets 470 in same spot. But could be affected by amount of people doing stuff maybe? No idea.

Got to give it to Nintendo - this is how a console launch should be (in terms of hardware at least). I can't remember the last time I experienced one like this; it was perhaps the GameCube back in 2001 where I remember I walked in to a store and picked one up on launch day without a problem. Since then I think every console has been a bit of a fight to get hold of without preordering. Except the Wii U perhaps?

Wifi speed isn't rapid as far as I can tell but thats likely entirely because thousands and thousands of people are trying to download games to their devices right now. I have 1mb up/down and its not downloading MK World that quickly. Will have taken about 20-25 minutes for what I think is ~25gb.

Thank you both! Very useful.

Just used the Voler screen protector someone suggested on here and it applied perfectly. Had to use some other alcohol wipes as the ones that came with it weren't that good but the application method was flawless. Running your finger down the middle applied it to the whole thing which was beautiful to watch and had zero bubbles. I threw the Nintendo one away after it got dust and crap on it. Was cursing the fact I bought them without realising the Switch 2 case came with one but I'm glad I did now.

Very impressed by the launch. Everything has worked flawlessly. Console has a premium quality to it, and the pro controller is great! Mario kart online is as chaotic and fun as ever, I just smile while playing it. Whatever you think of the prices or power of the system, Nintendo (for me) still has a magic about them, that’s been there since I was a kid playing NES!
