I don't see the issue here. They have two options. Either don't include any third party peripherals in the game and have people whinge about it. Or add them in and people can't complete it 100% without them.

I wasn't paying attention, but I thought Xbox Online's review of Welcome Tour said you can tell it you don't have accessories.

Apparently its a really common thing and several retailers have reported it back to Nintendo - it was mentioned on the Eurogamer live blog they're running.

Mine was broken as well and I thought exactly the same.

The outer seal was half broken on mine. Seems like some very brittle/weak plastic used in the seal.

All hardware is "out of date" by the time it hits the market when it comes to consoles. The user guide is a game experience. If you want a normal user guide you get that free. I'm all for ******** on Nintendo for their treatment of customers but this is very low on my list of gripes.

Maybe they were swapping the power adapters due a change in distribution

Yeah agree with that, although I feel like they could have at least made the game free. I’ve no interest in playing it so doesn’t bother me, but if you look at when the PS5 was released Astro Bot was free & I’m guessing that has a lot more content too.
