Absolutely fantastic and the visuals have been dialled up a notch or 2, RT goodness looks glorious and throw on top RTX HDR, out of this world![]()
Visuals are the exact same as the open/closed beta, I asked in the Dune Discord and a dev said nothing has been updated in that regard.
RTX HDR does give a very nice visual pop though especially on OLED.
They are definitely improved. More crisp the textures and lighting is also improved (friend playing also noted the same too). I'll upload photos later/tomorrow as think I had some from the beta too. Maybe it's the dlss implementation that is better as I can't recall if transformer model was about back then.
I was in the closed beta, The open beta and now in the full game, Textures are the same, An actual dev confirmed it in the closed beta Discord.
There was an issue during the closed beta when selecting ultra settings it wouldn't take properly, That's likely what you're seeing but in the closed beta this was resolved a while ago.
Oh ok maybe that is it then as the textures without a doubt look better which in return is probably also making the lighting look better.
Personally, from what I've seen so far I'd say it leans more heavily into the crafting/survival side than the RPG side.How would those playing describe this? Is it part RPG part survival or does it lean into one more heavily?
