Is it worth it?

What tests should I do? My current tv is a 50" krp 500 I've had for about 15 years. Would this be a good upgrade?

How old is the TV, and is there any warranty the person you're getting it from would be willing to assist with?

I'd check there isn't any burn in to start with.

Depends how much you value the extra screen. Seems pretty steep though at £600 for 12inches.
My C2 is 65 inches (paid just over 1k). But I sit under 2 meters away haha
My dad got a hisense 85u7kqtuk back in November. The extra size is definitely very very nice. If I didn't have my C2 id have bought one.

Just seen the 65 for £700 and the 77 for £1300. Is it worth another £600 for the 77"?

I could afford but it seems a bit much. Im just worried I'll get the 65 and always regret it

Only you can answer that, maybe go visit a local Curry's or Richer Sounds etc to get an idea of the difference?

I will say that it can be difficult to adjust down once you grow accustomed to a certain size, I'm actually of a mind that when going above 65" that nearfield projectors are becoming a better buy than TV's. There's some very good laser models from companies like Hisense within that sort of price range, they may not be as visually capable as an OLED but they're not all that far off and are far more adaptable if you need to downsize or move etc. In fact, space allowing such projectors are often capable up to 120" so you really can go wild if you want, they fit whatever space you have.

No way would I choose a bigger lower quality screen than a smaller higher quality screen.

You'd have to be mad having a 85" hisense over a 65" LG OLED

To be fair I proper scrutinized it when he got it delivered. The dimming is impossible to see unless on very specific patterns (to me at least) its a mini led. Black levels great even on black bar films. Brightness is good and picture seemed totally fine testing a few 4K movies. I'd be totally happy with it and would fit my living room better but happy with the C2 just wish it was bigger :D

That's a fairly respectable mini-led with FALD and decent HDR/motion, I can see the argument for it tbh but as above I'd have went for a nearfield projector for that size and price range. I actually have a 65" U6 in my spare room which was a partial warranty replacement on a higher end screen from two years prior and was surprised at how good it is for the price it can be had. Some people value screen size over raw quality, and sometimes the differences are narrow enough that the size weighs out at the price point. I love OLED myself but the fact is it matters a lot less depending on your usage, deep blacks and good HDR matter a lot less to someone that mostly watches reality tv/soaps and football for example. Even if assuming someone was a movie buff, sometimes the screen size will mean more to them for a whole host of possible reasons, it's not a black and white thing.

In relation to nearfield laser projectors, I don't think many people are really aware of them yet and they're still a bit alien, you don't need to hang the things from the ceiling either you can pop them on a desk in front of a wall and they fire upward. They're actually a lot less intrusive on a room than a gigantic TV in my opinion even for regular use, it's not like they're something you should only run if you're big into home cinema as traditional projectors were and bulb replacements aren't a concern either.

Given I paid 2200 for my 65CX, an 77" for 1300 is an absolute bargain. I had no idea 77" had drop to that sort of price tbh

Price here for a 77B4 varies from 2200-2500 (just a quick google)

Ive looked at those UST PJs but once you get use to oled blacks in a dark room it's hard to drop an oled for anything other then another oled.
