Looks like the showers/possible thunderstorms are going around us, so far largely don't look like they are living up to the forecast either.

12c first thing this morning its been no warmer than 14-16c all week and it hasn't stopped blowing either as the weatherman said its more like autumn than summer. What on earth is going on with the weather.

Been 90% chance of heavy rain and thunderstorms here all afternoon, and we've had the merest sprinking of rain so far. It's actually brightening up a bit now.

Was really hoping for a nice thunderstorm yesterday, just had rain :(

We had the fire on the last two evenings. Back to 25c this week though hopefully.

Had ours on a few weeks ago and don't really want to put it back on, but...

The Dreo is set to come on if temps drop below a certain level and tbh it was a nice blast in the wc this morning, not one I would have expected in June though.

Fingers crossed it will get better as you say.

If it gets hotter, id be tempted to , well, do something to cool off

This could include a number of different methods.

I think it hit a pleasant 23C around Hampshire yesterday, maybe a little higher, but with the cloud cover it was still around 21C at sunset (2120ish).

Another day of 23C forecast today and tomorrow morning, it's expected to be a bit wet until after lunch.

Annual helpful reminder for those who are unaware, don't do this:

The only reason sash windows open this wide is to allow escape in the event of fire. The correct way to operate them is to half raise the bottom window, then half drop the top window. The hot air leaving out the top will then draw in colder air through the bottom causing the room temperature to drop. This is multiple times more efficient than fully opening the bottom and it works without any wind.
