When you come to the forefront as being one of the best clubs in Europe no more cheap deals for you.
People look at Liverpool now like builders look at government contracts.
I’m starting to feel that way now, having three bids rejected eventually player or club will tell us to do one.
When you're talking about that much money, whats a few million more. Its like when you're buying a house. You might haggle over £20 on something that costs a few hundred quid but when its a house, people can find another £100k if they need to.

Yea and then we have to wait a whole 6 days for it to reopen!
For non CWC sides the transfer window dates make no difference whatsoever. Deals can still be done, the players registration (which allows them to play) just cannot be transferred until after the window opens. Using Wirtz as an example, whether we signed him today or on the 14th makes literally no difference as we don't even return to pre-season training until the 2nd week of July.

Why? He literally was just leaving Frank at an established position at Brentford and has turned down all other places for Utd. Why would he then go ‘Oh, actually… yeah, Spurs.’

arsenal never made any offer for him
