You will know you have got the correct item by the weight of the box (around 2 kilos), also have a good look at the address label to make sure it's not been tampered withWill be recording my pickup from Amazon drop off. From walking up, typing in code given to opening door. If it’s not the console, then I don’t know how they can get around that one.
The first games console I bought with my own money was a SNES, and Super Mario World was one of my favourite games ever. It was so clever with it's power ups, hidden exits, secret star world etc. Trying to find all 96* levels (in the days before internet and YouTube guides) brings back happy memories!Hurray! Managed to get one off the big rainforest.
Now to try and find a cheap copy of Pokemon Violet.
Also what are all of your must have switch 1 games?
Just shows they have a poor line up for new games. They're all S1 games.Ok so my list of games to pickup are
Zelda: Breath of the wild
Zelda: Tears of the kingdom
Metroid Dread
Mario Odyssey
Mario Wonder
Luigis Mansion 3
Split fiction
I think that's a good list to work through
Same but I'm having fun replaying Zelda with the Switch 2 upgrade. To be fair the machine has only just come out. How many machines launch with more than 1/2 'must have' games?
I'd like to see more announced soon though; they need to get a decent number of S2 games out this year; although the sheer weight of S1 library will keep people going for a while, especially with the performance upgrades etc.
The OP asked for some S1 recommendations!Just shows they have a poor line up for new games. They're all S1 games.
To be fair, he's still right, there aren't many S2 games so you have to ask for S1 recommendations. At least some of the S1 games have graphical updates otherwise it'd be a bit of a dud launch. The OP asked for some S1 recommendations!
That's the thing, under that judgment criteria, most consoles in the last 15 years would be flops; with most not building up a decent catalogue until at least a few months in.To be fair, he's still right, there aren't many S2 games so you have to ask for S1 recommendations. It makes sense given the timeframes. You can't make a God of War level game in a year - obviously you can do some upfront work if the platform is more standard (unlike the PS3) but at some point you need the actual development kit to create new games. That's the thing, under that judgment criteria, most consoles in the last 15 years would be flops; with most not building up a decent catalogue until at least a few months in.
The last consoles I can think of that had true, 'MUST HAVE' launch titles would be the N64 with Mario 64, Halo Combat Evolved on the Xbox, and BOTW on Switch 1.
PS2/3/4/5, Xbox 360, Gamecube, Wii U, Xbox Series S/X etc, none of them had games that'd be considered truly must have on Day 1, and been fairly common to have a wave of ports/cross gen titles at launch, with the more heavy hitting games landing months into launch.
The Switch Pro 2 controller feels SO nice. Its expensive, but it feels a lot nicer than the charging/joycon grip (which I think is more or less the same as the grip that comes with the main Switch 2, no?). PromiseI bought the Joy Con 2 charging grip and just took it out of the box and was surprised to find it has the back buttons on it! Now I might not need the Pro 2 controller straight away.
I didn't know about that. Was a pleasant surprise.
I'll get the Pro 2 controller when it is back in stock. The grip that comes with the Switch 2 does not have the back buttons but the charging grip does which I was surprised about. The Switch Pro 2 controller feels SO nice. I did love the OG Pro Controller though, which made the price for this one more tolerable.
I completely agree - the Switch 2 lineup so far is pitiful. I was just speaking to someone at work a minute ago who asked me how the Switch 2 was going. We spoke about MKW, and then they asked what other games I had. NONE! Will likely get DK in about 6 weeks, but for now it's MKW, and replaying Mario Wonder. To be fair, he's still right, there aren't many S2 games so you have to ask for S1 recommendations. Even out of the games listed above for 2025, there's very few that jump out at me. My son will be all over FC26, but that'll just be a few names changed from FC25!
Hopefully Nintendo have a few tricks up their sleeves...
