Tainted Grail: the Fall of Avalon

Whilst a small list, I appreciate seeing problems being solved. It also makes me feel better for waiting a wee while before getting this :)

Same with most (if not all) games these days, maybe takes up to a year or more until they're close to a 'finished' experience.

After 30 or so hours I've achieved mastery of the first map and I'm still having a good time.
Playing on normal difficulty but I'm doing a generalist build and it's fun to have the option to shoot enemies, set them on fire or stab them. Or all three.

Onto the second map now, massive spike in difficulty.

I went for a sumoning mage build and often need 5 summons just to take the heat off myself even at level 25.
If you go in the other entrance it's an easier time. I'm going to get gear before going back to that part.
The game even let me pet a creature. Makes a change from just killing everything.

This is a lot of fun and the settings are really interesting.

Got a good spear but the animation is a bit crappy (Using the shaft like a club majority of time) so sticking to my stabby short sword for now. Have had some fun with summons but now tend to go in with double charged frost spell to start then pokey pokey after that.

I've seen some player suggest act 2 is not as good as the first and it's starts off slow but has some of the best quests and areas so far. The Corrupted Temple and Abyss of Sagremor are amazing.

New into act 2. Decent increase in difficulty but not too hard, just a reminder to pay attention. Need to focus on upgrading stuff a bit more to improve. Getting fed up with the summons fart arsing about so might respec to a DIY approach.

Story and setting are excellent so far. Best game I've played in a long long time because of this.

No spoilers but I pet a creature once and it made my game impossible to continue (well, not impossible but overly hard). IYKYK (it was a Croakmaw)
That was the one I tried to make friends with. But I'm an old hand at cat jenga so an overgrown frog isn't going to phase me.

£26.59 on Steam currently. Worth a punt?

Enjoyed Skyrim and Nolvus, think this is probably up my street. However, I have just downloaded GoT so it might take me a while to get around to it.

I thought it had potential from the demo. I heard the minions build was supposed to be fun. Graphics were a bit outdated for its time.

Saw that but don’t like spoilers, which it sort of would be.

Sitting on the fence a little longer then for now but that is the cheapest I’ve seen it so far.
Not at all, the demo is a tiny fraction of the full game , its just a smalp to see if you enjoy the gameplay, world, setting atmosphere etc.
