*** The Official Nintendo Switch 2 ***

Well it didn't take me long to cave and order a Switch 2. No willpower.

Argos had stock on Friday night and I got to the check out but stopped myself.

But after a week of playing Tears with a dodgy framerate and Game having stock earlier tonight I thought why not... Not a fan of Game and slightly concerned it will be late or never arrive at all so will keep fingers crossed until it arrives.

Been slowly doing the 150CC cups on MKW, AI is seriously scummy at times, constantly get smacked with a blue shell on the last corner almost every race but rarely get anything to defend with. I'm over halfway now. Slow grind!

I have over 100 physical games for my original Switch. Will be nice to go back and play some of these with 60fps patch, if they get them. Such as Astral Chain.

I recommend Fantasy Life. All of them are fun tbh, but the ending of Bravely Default is very grindy / repetitive and lets the game down ( played it on 3DS ).

Hopefully that's fixed, I never finished it on the 3DS.

I have been playing Prince of Persia Lost Crown on the Switch 2 and there are still areas where it seriously lags. Quite surprised. Not sure if its some buggy code because it doesn't always happen in busy areas of in the same area twice. Did anyone play this on the Switch 1? Any issues?

I have it, I didnt get very far to notice.

Loving the Switch 2 so far but need to look at one of the cases (similar to that have been posted in this thread) where they add a "case" to the unit itself which provides a move "Steam Deck" like feel in the hand and also has a separate hard case. Only issue I have been finding is holding it is no where near as ergonomic as my Legion Go S (although the lower weight feels better).

Games I have played so far all feel much nicer even without an official Switch 2 patch. This includes Hogwarts, Doom Eternal, WarFrame, Fenyx Rising and Xenoblade Chronicles X. Also been messing around in the free roam of MK:W and finding myself enjoying it more than I thought I would. :)

Tempted to get the Switch 2 "upgrade" for both Hogwarts and BoTW but have too much to play as it stands. (Is that going to stop me probably purchasing CP2077.... probably not....(would actually be interesting to compare it against the Legion Go S and I can "man math" my way into justifying the purchase.... :p

DK Bananza looks completely different to what I was expecting! Interacting with the world is either going to be a lot of fun or a gimmick for collecting things to 100% the game.

I watched a few mins and was left with a total feeling of WTF.

Not sure such a big step away from the normal format is going to pay off here. Happily be proven wrong though

The lighting was kinda off in the day time scenes. It was like back in the day when stills of 3D rendered characters were used for 2D sprites and the lighting would never match up.

I've got it on pre-order from Nintendo (physical cartridge), and although it looks a bit manic, I'll give it a go.
It's cool that I can gameshare, and play with the second player on an OG Switch.

I played the original DK Country to death on the SNES many many years ago. Looks like there are parts like this, but most of it is more like Mario Odyssey. I tried DK Country Returns on the Switch a few months back, but it didn't grip me like it did when I was a kid. Something different might be fun!
