It's too hot :(

They've utterly blown this 'great' weather out of proportion so far this week. Forecasting sunny weather and warmth then getting nothing but thick cloud and temperatures struggling to get above 20c. The temperature even started to drop before 5pm yesterday!

Knew it was too good to be true!

Broke out my baggy shorts to see if that would help to keep cooler on the dog walk. Not helped that much, my legs were OK but just not the sweaty bits you really don't want to sweat too much. Even more sun and heat for the next few days here.:(

So, any recommendations for a portable AC unit to help with the heat over the next few weeks? Looking to get one as I work a lot of nights and have to sleep during the day. :(

Electriq aren't bad. We had one for a while before we got the wall units installed. A couple years back we tried an LG one too. Also good, both quite noisy. The vent hose is almost always too short as well, so worth scoping out an extension or a longer replacement. Not really designed for typical UK bedrooms where the windows are higher up.

I stupidly mowed the lawn at 3.30pm as not done it in a month. Absolutely horrendous, the heat and humidity was already killing me and then cutting grass at the peak of grass pollen season I was streaming out of my nose, my t-shirt was drenched not from sweat but runny nose water (not snot cos it's so different to snot) I just gave up in the end.

Beast fan just blowing warm air
It's decided to be hot again today.
Reasonably pleasant until about 2pm, now it's roasting again.
My beast fan just blowing warm air around :cry:
Will be the same this year as every other year, promise myself some sort of AC unit and then not bother and moan about how I didn’t get any sleep because of the heat. :D

Get a so called silent one is my advice they cost more but you won't get a lot of sleep otherwise unless you're as deaf as a post

I'm glad I did it last weekend! Its not something i'll be doing this weekend I'll be staying in the shade. N95/99 masks help with that (during summer its so dry it kicks up so much dust you're coughing for an age otherwise)
