For your statement to be factually correct, yes he would need to. Other than that, it is exactly what I said; a manufactured negative opinion solely based on your feelings.

GN as far as I can tell, are trying to aid the consumer vs unethical practices by large organisation/corporations. Similar to what Martin Lewis does - so based on your own statements and sentiments Martin Lewis would be called a whiny bitch who constantly needs to be the policeman of the financial/commercial industry.

Don't forget you were the one who said:

Which perfectly encapsulates my point. You are not forming your opinion of him on whether he's right or not, nor on the content of his work but on some other abstract i.e. length of his hair, sound of his voice etc. (who knows?)

This is where my opinion comes in; the problem is not people like him who are ostensibly trying to help others, the problem is mainly people like you who manufacture reasons to denigrate them.
Steve's not going to sleep with you, no need to be his online champion.

There's plenty of reasons to dislike GN, just listening to him talk is enough for me.

I don't get the hate. Seems like an alright dude to me.
People need a person to get annoyed with when their fav other guy who cried on videos (for getting caught out multiple times over the years no less) gets upset.

When SB put his Linus video out he demonetised it, when Linus put out his reply to SB/apology vid he had sponsors in it, which I believe he later removed after a deserved backlash.
Exactly, GN does stuff for the people, some people are being a bit backwards by hating on him simply because of the way he speaks, probably the same sort of people who got offended when a teacher marked their school work in red ink instead of blue or green which is why many schools howadays discourage teachers from using red ink or marking an X next to wrong answers because students get upset I learned from a conversation with some parents at work lol.

Oh no, he spoke directly and got right to the point without mincing words! Oh noeee!

It goes even deeper than that as some people appear to be suggesting he's on the spectrum.

You can learn a lot about a person by observing the things they criticise others for.

Martin luuuurves GN. Muah kissy kissy. Just tell him how you feel mate.

Thanks but your puerile inanity helps to makes my point. The fact of the matter is that I have no particular like or dislike for Steve from GN the same for Linus etc. I appreciate some of the good stuff they all do etc.

What I do like (you might even say "luuuuurv") are facts, accurate information, precise data etc (maybe the old maths teacher in me). I also do like standing up for the little man so to speak (voluntary work at the CAB will that do that for you) so when I read:

Don't get me wrong, he's usually right,

This is about the information, based on facts and is accurate.

Whereas this:

it's borne of his constant need to be the policeman of the tech industry,

This is not factual and is made up because it is ascribing a motive based on a feeling/opinion.

I'm sure there are good/fair reasons to criticise GN, though from what I can tell GN is ultimately trying to help the consumer against surreptitious and unethical practices so the problem isn't really them, the problem is people that denigrate that behaviour of helping the consumer/little man.

He would come across better if he improved his delivery, he belt feeds information with little structure and then throws in some comments about other people which I find off putting, whenever I try and watch a video of his I usually find something else to watch after 2 minutes.

A good example is the 9060xt video, even the title "AMD just needs to shut up" gives a good indication of what you're about to watch.

Intentions and integrity aside many people use YouTube for entertainment, he would do his content more justice if he learnt to pace himself and deliver with more professionalism if he's aiming to be the person that people watch for accurate reviews.

It seems like you obviously do as you now seem to be the one...

It was one post, it was an opinion. I don't particularly care what you think of it, yet you seem oddly obsessed with it. Everything ok upstairs?

Just to be clear, yes he does whine like a little bitch.

If his delivery really was that much of an issue for the target audience, it's unlikely that he would have amassed such a large following? There are plenty of other US YouTubers in this space who will dial it up for the camera if that's what people are after.

The reason he's likely done so well is because not everyone is looking for someone charismatic who delivers lines like an actor. Trying to be someone else would probably just make him seem inauthentic.

And now all you have left is the ad hominem.

Nothing more from you that is substantive or factual, all you're doing now is being someone
...who whines like a little bitch...

So I will leave you to it. :D

He used to be the review guy.

Go back in time and he's doing a video on numbers. Now he spends a significant amount of time taking shots and doing long monologues on how the world is wrong and you should be angry.
