5090 and Corsair RM1200E

I have the titled hardware. The 5090 comes with an adapter which I hear is best not to use. So that takes me to my psu and the cables that came with it. So I have 12 pin on one end that goes to the 5090 and the other end I have 2 Type4 connecters that will go into the psu. Is this the correct cable to use?
I note that each of the 2 8 pin connectors have 1 pin missing

Yeah read that was normal. I wasn't sure if the 5090 needs all the pins though and whether or not this was a 600W cable

There's a review of the latest version on hwbusters and they list the cable as 600.
