It's too hot :(

Is that portable or installed AC?

Our installed AC has been using 3-4Kwh recently with both units on nearly all day, and bedroom set to 18ºC. It's pretty efficient I think.
Installed split Aircon in two rooms and portable in another. 10kwh used on just one unit today :)

Nice sitting out in the UK garden and not getting frostbite.

Currently 24°C @22:21

Exactly what I say to people who think the UK is Humid. Summer of 2022 it was 38C and 42% Humidity. Rhodes was slightly cooler at 36C and the same humidity. Orlando when I've been has been 30C and 90% and Singapore just as bad.
Currently 27C here in Rishton and 65% its warm but its not unbearable like some people say. Slight breeze and Cloudy with the odd heavy shower.
In Singapore you can literally taste the moisture in the air, though. That's a special place - especially being on the equator. Wonderful country with such nice people.

I just don't do very well in hot weather. I'm very much designed for typical British Isles weather. 20° and the shorts and flipflops come out. 25°+ and I'll be like this thread.

Still 24C outside, crazy. Thought it had cooled down since I’m sat in a fridge, went outside and saw all my neighbours with every window open, good luck cooling rooms down tonight, it’s so muggy out. Not bad, £1.50 to cool the entire house today.

It's 20c outside here but even with windows open much higher inside, I have fans running but Christ almighty I'm sweating buckets.

I find 10-15c comfortable, this is hell.

Same here. Just been out to lock up the cabin and the heat hits me as I walk out the door. It's not cooled down at all this evening. Off to my 18ºC bedroom :D

Still 20C here outside, I expect many have their windows open...

And someone's car alarm, on a usually quiet residential street, started making a racket ~5mins ago!

Yup you definitely can. Id love to visit for longer than the 14 hour layover we had going and coming back from Australia. The Air Conditioned MRT was very welcome.
Definitely cooled off though today. just in time for my Annual Leave.

Last night was the worst sleep I've had, don't think the bedroom dropped below 27c all night. A few days of cooler temps will be very welcome.

Slept with the fan blowing on me from 2am till 7.40am no problem. Now sitting outside the back door in the nice cool shade, cooling down after the dog walk.:)
Inside the house hasn't really dropped below 26°C all week

We've had a ceiling fan installed for a few years now and even though it's off center of bed (on my to-do list) it does make a difference during these warmer nights.

Some temps inside currently are:

Living room - 29.8°C
Kitchen - 31.69°C
Bedroom - 24.9°C
WC - 24.4°C

Going to work out a solution for the kitchen as that temp kills the OH.

We've put up a thermal blind in the east facing livingroom and it helps first thing, compared to the bedroom directly above which we sleep in that has only an ordinary roller blind. The west side gets more sun as the house isn't on a perfect east /west line and only 1 of the 3 bedroom windows has a blackout roller blind.

Yep it was warm in the dojo this morning - got a good sweat on despite it being 730am.

I will admit training in a metal warehouse type building with poor ventilation is not fun - but worth it. This is why I train in the morning at the moment as it's grim when a whole day's worth of heat is trapped in there. When I did some training in the middle east it was at least air conditioned - still sweat a tonne but you feel less gassed.

I spent 6 nights there and it was nothing short of incredible despite their mosquitoes thinking I was delicious.

It's 18° outside now but the house is still 24°. It could take another day or two to cool down.
