*** The Official Nintendo Switch 2 ***

It's basically a massive essay saying "you are holding it wrong" with 2 fingers.

There are people trying to cancel their order, to be met with radio silence, one guy tried to cancel and dbrand replied to him "show us a photo of your Kill Switch". When the guy replied said "it's not been shipped yet, I just want to cancel"...they blanked him.

I thought dbrand's customer service was good!?

Yeah that's how I interpreted it too. its a premium product and their response is poor, yet people still defend it.

Mine has shipped now, I emailed them asking them to provide return shipping as its faulty, but I fully expect to be told to GTFO. I'll send it back anyway and eat the shipping costs I guess.

They only need to offer a free replacement grip with a new design, which they must do, in order to fix it. Just halt all current orders until the new redesign is in stock.

I have never seen a case that could potentially damage your product. Which is precisely what would happen if you use this and the screen part fall.

Also....someone else try taking the Switch 2 out of the Dbrand dock with 1 hand, the entire dbrand attachment came up with it.

Dbrand statement reads as if there is no way to make a full case with detachable joy cons without compromising the integrity of the joy con connection. This is unless adhesive is used, which may in turn also eventually fail. They may have a point, as how can a grip remain in place when not wrapped around the joycon enough unless it is stuck down. There's also seems to be a point of a case adding a minor amount of extra weight to the device, which only helps weaken the connection regardless.

The dock also seems to be a mess and seemingly needs to be revised.

Appears as though it's currently full case with no detachment that's thin enough to dock with the original stand, or don't bother.

It wouldn’t be so much of an issue if Nintendo made the thing more pleasant to hold in first place
True, but even if they kept the joycons as is, I would happily have purchased Nintendo designed joycon only grips which made them more ergonomic.

Actually, someone on Reddit had figured out how to fix it already. It’s just dbrand couldn’t.

They could keep the same. Same design but leave a slight gap where Nintendo designed it to be. The guy simply peeled back the rubber at the bottom and it works.

D-Brand have always had fairly caustic and sarcastic responses, its something that some people like about them. Unfortunately it does highlight an arrogance about them; which, much as they can make great stuff, has always put me off them.
There is a fine line between humour and going too far, and they frequently show they struggle with that.

I mean, they rather heavily sponsor LTT, and a great many of the codes and links belittle LTT/Linus, and whilst that can be seen in jest, its not hard to draw that it can be a bit mean spirited too, especially after such a long time working together.

This double down on their take even after the backlash and multiple user videos showing the issue is baffling.

Clearly it isn’t an isolated incident, and exacerbated by their response.

Very much agree.

Seriously regret my purchase. Doesn't look like its very cheap to return a product to Canada either

As I understand it, in doing so the grip is then less secure around the joycon itself creating a different issue. This is why they mention adhesive. There is atleast one other case where it doesn't have the retention issue, but due to that, the grips aren't secure on the joycons.

Moving away from casegate - because, well, I don’t care. I got to the end of the single player MKW campaign and my word the whole Rainbow Road thing was absolutely amazing. The credits were brilliantly done as well. One of the best Nintendo being Nintendo sequences yet. Not since the ‘thank you’ ending of Odyssey have I seen anything as good. Fair play.
