Gamers, What's Your Audio Set Up?

All I can tell you is that none of the previous amps have any of these issues and I notice these things immediately as they stand out to me as a stickler for the smaller details in total etc.

For £800 I expect zero issues like this, Topping and Aiyima can manage it for a quarter of the price so there's no excuse!

Topping PA7 set up and running. Absolutely excellent, zero noise floor, it's basically a black hole of nothing at any volume with either input though I am using XLR. The 12V trigger from the X9 to it actually works too and I'm in bypass mode so X9 controls the pre-amp/volume duties.

The silver is the same shade too  I think they go well together.

Playing this track:

The soundstage, bass detail and imaging come together like I hear in the Arya Stealth though minus that planar bass extension obviously. I think I have found a well gelling system now with this stack and am happy. more listening tomorrow, gotta go out for the day now, boooo.

Only gripe is the PA7's volume dial is very sensitive, only need to move it to around 9 o'clock and the speakers are blaring, not an issue in bypass mode of course as the DAC/pre-amp handles that.

Note that the Topping store now says:

News:

First batch inventory out, it is in pre-order status till the end of July.

We will be the first to get our hands on them

I reckon it will be here Wednesday, once it has left China it's usually 3 working days in my experience, takes longer filtering through the China network than it does once in the air.

I am really happy with the PA7 now having done a lot more listening the last day. It's so analogue in character yet has none of teh flaws of old analogue amps (the really low noise floor hiss, some interference at high volume etc which were evident on my old NAD C Bee amps).

Super impressive what Class D has evolved into, capable of outpacing what would otherwise be models from established brands with decades of history as I've been learning not only for sound but features and usability.

Can't do much with the spaghetti at the back though mind:

20cm wide for the PA7 and 19cm for the DX5 II, these should stack really nicely, seems most Topping stuff is now max 20cm wide too.

Remember that Evri is the local courier, hopefully they don't leave it in a safe place if nobody is in, like lob it on the roof :D

My tracking shows:

Which also means no customs to pay as never had a bill from Evri.

That UI triggered me because i recently built a similar ui for a mobile app

If you click on the more Info link on the Topping tracking link then it shows the local courier and the tracking number, you then have to go to Evri site and track that number

Turns out if you ask ShenzenAudio on Chat nicely they'll give you a 10% off voucher for the DX5 Mk2. Now I am debating PTT!!!

**Edit: Yep bought one :D
