Samsung Galaxy S25 Family Thread

Cheers for the codes guys!

Managed to get the s25ultra for £320 + tablet (which seems to sell for £100) and £15pm SIM. So £220 for the phone. Quite happy as my stand in phone cracks are getting worse :p

Been a long time since I had a Samsung!

Any suggestions for a screen protector?

How much did the code get you off?

I’m tempted. I love the profile. Tom the Tech Champ reported that his bent but doesn’t know how.

What’s the battery life like when using light performance mode instead of standard?

What case do you have, can you share some pictures? Thanks.

Couldn't tell you i don't use light performance but I'm guessing it going to be better than standard performance, which is on par with the S24 it last me all day then some on a single charge, so I personally find the battery life fine.
I'm using this case from JETech it's cheap but it alright doesn't add much bulk to the phone.

And this Screen Protector.

As for pictures I've only got this one of the box when it arrived, I've sold my S25 Ultra today so now can't take anymore pics.

Thanks and no problem. I’m so tempted with the edge. Given you’ve had the Ultra - what made you sell it in favour the edge?

Looking at moving from Apple back to Android and the liking the look of the S25 Ultra. Should I wait for the S26 or safe bet to go for the 25?

Also if anyone happens to have a promo code or anything going free I would be greatly appreciative :)

S25U is really nothing revolutionary. There's loads of cheap deals on HUKD, if you get it with a contract you can get it silly cheap.

I upgraded from an S23U and other than the flat screen and better battery life there's no difference that stands out.

From rumors, it doesn't seem like the s26 will be much better and as above the S25U is super cheap.

I never know what people are expecting from year to year.. you need to be looking at the step up from 3 years ago, that's the contract base they're trying to bring back into market.

Given that Vs the S22 the S25 is a really decent upgrade.

I will say though having had the lot as a side effect of my job.. suggesting there's not a decent upgrade in battery, camera, CPU and design/build between the S23 and S25 is pushing it.

Ordered an S25 Ultra in jet black yesterday. The contract deals with additional trade in value and June discount made it easy to jump from an S22. Using an old S10 to trade in.

£179 upfront then £17pm. Had thought to hold off and pick up either the Pixel 10 or S26 but the rumoured specs don't seem worth it.

Plus it won't be that cheap!

Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask, but do you guys just constantly plug in a USB drive via an adapter and backup your pictures/video recordings to your PC/Mac weekly/whenever you've taken a load of them?
I get anxiety these days with newer phones without removable storage, I did however used to have iPhones and the 'just plug it in' factor of the 'Photos' app popping straight up asking if I want to import them, made it a breeze, to the point where I just mainly used the Mac to charge the phone as well, as it became muscle memory then to back them up each day without faffing about.

I really do fancy one of these or the model before, so I am still tempted, currently with my Droid I just use an adapter and make a new folder in my pictures app and copy everything new to that then go into the file manager and move that to the USB drive.

What's the general feeling of the S25 edge vs S25 plus? Is the lack of telephoto lens and small capacity battery really a big deal? As it's likely to be used for a mix of uses web / photos / gaming, I'm less concerned about aesthetics, than battery and image quality.

Your making this really difficult. Just put the phone on the network and drag across.

Or just rely on Google,Amazon services to backup for you. Less likely to lose it that way than your own laptop.

As in on the wifi at home? What Android/Windows/Mac app does that? Or is this built into the new Android OS? My current phone definitely doesn't have this option built in.
Cloud based wouldn't work for me I have nearly a hundred thousand pictures from over the years, along with many videos, so the cost for that would be insane.

Currently I just put them onto a USB, and then import them into the Photos app on my mac, then back it up using my time machine drives - I've never had a problem with time machine in the 17 years that I've used it.
I like having all my photos/videos in one place/app without messing about opening mass amounts of folders.

Something like rs file manager will allow you to setup ftp.

Used it on other phones before.
