NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

Seriously impressed with undervolting and the waterblocks for this generation. My very small room (with no window able to open, except outside the room) temp is currently 27C (going to be interesting how hot it gets this heatwave!)

Been testing 0.895v @ 2827MHz on the Palit 5090 for a few days. I have the Alphacool Core block (not the first choice, wanted the Heatkiller.)

Hitman 3 seems to be a game that really seems to heat up the card (along with CP2077 a close contender)

With all the bells and whistles and native 4K and monitor framerate at 144Hz I have only seen it just start to break 50C on the core (with 40C water temp - which I know is far from ideal.)

Still all very impressive to me that I get similar (or slightly better temps) with wattage up to 500W+ that I got with the FE 4090 with a Corsair block.

Any decent guides on undervolting the 5090 ? I haven't done undervolting in years :D

These ones are both great, but I would go with the second video as they explain how to keep the GPU from drawing too much power when idling (when messing with the V/F curves in afterburner.)

This reddit post made it really easy for me to understand, as it took the second vid @Personality+ linked but put it in really basic terms, with users feedback in the chat:

The vid from imwateringpsus is a great starting point though, if you want a quick and dirtier undervolt, that isn't as confusing. But you really want those power savings at idle too!

So 5080 FE's have been coming up quite a lot. Are they good, bad, average? With the new drivers are they finally fixed? Black screens etc??

I'd like to know this too. Would like to swap my 4090FE for the 5090FE, but they've hardly ever been in stock.
Are there documented driver bugs with games you play? If not then go for it. Ive had no issues with my 5090FE since launch when I got it.

Stock....whole other issue. Youll need to get on a stock tracker to stand a chance.

You can probably get at least 2800MHz and +2000 on the memory with that voltage. Although clock does actually affect wattage a little bit too. With those settings you will be better than stock, without hitting power limits so much.

I'm quite happy with these settings so far, Stock was giving my right arm a tan from the heat
