Nvidia RTX 60 series - what is going to happen?

It's going to be the same old rumours of pricing released and pages of people saying they wont buy it but then it will sell out as some of the people who screamed the loudest they would not buy end up buying anyway.

People will continued to get screwed on teirs being mulipulated and shifted about that many will let slide but instead of highlighting this tech tubers may see another opportunity set off another round of VRAM outrage that will continue for months over cards that a few years ago before this outrage many looked down upon them like something they just stepped in.

And Nvidia will still hobble low end cards with 8GB of VRAM forcing people to buy up to get adequate VRAM for anything that's not low graphics preset, 1080p performance.

60 series will be a PCIE Ethernet card which links you exclusively with low latency to NVIDIA’s GPU servers all for the low price of £1899 with an annual subscription.

Maybe not the next gen but I reckon you're not far off!

nVidia will keep the top end dies for AI/Compute and will encourage gamers to use mid-range GPUs with DLSS and frame insertion. Could be back to frame buffers rather then GPUs like the early cards.

People are gonna need to install at least a 2 phase power outlet in their house to even use one. Fire extinguisher will be mandatory, not an option like it is now :D

I remember when Intel had the CPU market cornered.

Each year they would release something slightly faster but still the same old rubbish.

Then finally they got some real competition and innovation from AMD and look where they are now.

The reason I mention the above is because Nvidia seem to be doing the same with GPUs for gaming.

There is going to be a lot of innovation in the AI sector and most of it will mostly likely come from other companies, Nvidia may be no.1 now but it is not going to last.

Nvidia need to start innovating with GPUs before someone like the Chinese shows them how to do it.

Producing GPUs that use 600w, need massive coolers and have dodgy power connectors is something that needs to change.

what happened to you?

I'm wondering, after seeing 50 series being a total crap performance wise compared to prev series - what can we expect from next one?
Is there any possible way that Nvidia will pull itself together and make proper new iteration that will bring better performance jump than 50x did?
50 series was a cash grab but with a node shrink 60 series should be a bigger jump. Failing that there's a decent chance AMD could bring something competitive to the high end and maybe Intel will up its game too.

It it really crap or people came to that conclusion because of the price?

If that's the case, I don't see the RTX 60 series to be any different.

Another round of contemptible begging and wailing towards competitors to make cheaper/faster cards... to lower the price of Nvidia cards.

It's some kind of mental disease spread from tech youtubers making it a feature of their opinion pieces to blame lack of competition for Nvidia prices.

therefore it's time for lots of fake interest in cheaper/faster competitor cards if you want a cheaper Nvidia card.

I cant say anything about high end cards prices as I do not buy them, but 5070 level wasn't that bad price wise.
Performance went down from at least 50% in new gen to 15-20%.

After a Forum software update it became very difficult to edit the images in my threads, the result was a bit of a mess when editing.

The lack of hardware innovation was another reason.

I totally skipped the 4xxx series and only bought a 5xxx card as I needed to build a new PC.

Tech companies have become too powerful forcing us to make choices we would rather not make, like Microsoft ending support for Windows 10.

Good to see you back

Probably lots of false claims from that Jacket wearing dude that the 6070 is better than a 5090, no doubt.
