The kids birthday is coming up and she wants a PC of her own. Ideally, want it to be Matx as she's limited on space with a desk length of 150cm, but smallish is fine . It needs to be mostly white and preferably AM5. I already have a ram kit (G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5-6000 CL30-38-38-96 1.35V (32GB kit: 2x16GB)
AMD EXPO certified) and a 27" 4k 60hz monitor.

PC needs to play games like Skyrim, The Sims 4, Roblox and Minecraft, with a view to future upgrades.

Would prefer a Seasonic PSU as I have replacement cablemod cables.

Absolute top end budget is £1,000.

Peripherals will be bought separately.

What can you guys come up with?

Here's a AM5 build.

Do you need wifi? There's a few more boards to choose from if you don't.

Lian Li 207 is a compact option if you're prepared to go ATX.

I wasn't sure which dimension the 150cm related to on the case.

The PSU is a bit pricey for a £1000 build. I'd have chosen the Phanteks AMP GH, if it didn't need to be Seasonic.

I don't know if a 5060 Ti is preferable for those games, but they're more expensive so some downgrades would be needed to fit one.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £1,002.79 (includes delivery: £11.98)

alternative caser to the ones mentioned above, though I do like the cx500m. the kolink citadel mesh matx is £52.99, black interior so could get the black psu also, save £5, but it is fatter, and agree with @tamzzy , thinner is better(have a dual chamber on my desk atm). putting the 215 below as only 5mm wider than cx500m, with dual 200mm fans at front, so atx case, but not massive width
rather than go for the 9600 for £200, you could actually swap out the T500 m.2 for the MP44l @Tetras put in..that saves £28 and then get a 7800x3d from the MM for £250. One went today, and there was someone offering for the same price a few days back..that might still be available. Or just keep the T500 (prob last a few upgrades i think), and just forgo a takeawy one night and still get the 7800x3d...at least for awhile you'll just be looking at gpu upgrades then
though am a bit concerned you're going to be driving a 4k screen

Okay, so it's total overkill but, as I'm struggling to shift it she's now also getting my old 7950x. I'm also repurposing an 850w Seasonic power supply, with aftermarket cablemod white cables. So that's freed up a big chunk of budget.

I then got a bit carried away.... whoops!

Your seven year old is going to have a more powerful rig than 98% of adult gamers.

never go into specifics...yeah honey, i just bought them a cpu and gpu so they can play some games with me. keep it vague..and follow it up with a buch of flowers or something as a distraction. She gets a whiff of prices, and my wallet starts to panic as i know there's jewellery or an new handbag on the horizon too. you see @Gray2233 , there's more to consider from jumping fropm a 9070xt to 5070ti . that price difference can just be the tip of the iceberg if my wife get an inkling

I was looking at something similar for my own daughter, but she now doesn't want a desktop.

The NZXT H3 or Fractal Pop Mini in white were my considerations as she also has limited space Though with the H3 there is only a rear fan included.

Good choice. Did you get the windowed version too?
(I use the el-cheapo version the jonsbo d31)

Yes, I got the tempered glass version, cause she wants to see all the pretty lights, etc. I went with the Phanteks Glacier m25, and m25 fans as well, for the rest of the case. Originally wanted the D30's but was a little worried about clearances, and as there's only a couple of degrees difference, and no overclocking taking place. PBO with undervolting doesn't count, I figured we'd be safe.

That's why I got so carried away, wanted to make the prettiest system I could for her. She's the absolute apple of my eye!

@tamzzy I've never built an matx system before, any tips?

Yeah, rule #1 : don't screw up
Matx is easy to build in, esp in the ap201, I wouldn't worry. It's basically atx minus 3 pci slots.

Awesome, thank you mate. I'm really excited for this build. She is beyond ecstatic for it, and I'm over the moon to finally be in a position in life where I can do stuff like this for her.
