Says it's going to get to 31c now, which is down a bit. Looks like it's going to be reasonably cloudy here until about 3pm as well so might not be too bad.
I just hope I don't get given too much work today as my room is upstairs and south facing it'll easily be 35c in there later.

Meaco 1056p in the bedroom. Shifts a lot of air and is quieter than a normal fan. I keep saying I'll buy an aircon unit for my flat but it's bulk always puts me off, and the Meaco does a good enough job during hot days to keep us relatively cool.
I legit half burnt myself getting into my car the other day, and it was parked in the shade, black leather interior is savage. I legit would be 'well done' if I tried to sleep in it/end up like a pork scratching!

Tesla camp mode ftw
Spent the day on a boat in the solent yesterday - very pleasant way to cope with the weather. The humidity was just bonkers in Cowes though, dew point something like 19 degrees.
Car parked in the sun all day, but fortunately I remembered to log into the app and turn on the climate control as we pulled into the moorings, so it had a good 15 minutes to bring the temperature down to something sane ..
Or you can just open the passenger rear window and simply open the drivers front door and waft it back and forward a few times and fluid dynamics takes care of the rest...Tesla camp mode ftw

I saw that. While she's absolutely right, why risk the old man staring at you funny when your car can just quietly sort itself out unattended
Also, her method doesn't do anything to cool down the hot surfaces in the car, so you'll still have a scorchio seat and steering wheel, and the new cooler air that's in there will rapidly heat up again.
Also, she has a tesla and maybe should rtfm

My home office isn't much better! I've shut all the windows and curtains, put myself into perpetual twilight but it's so stuffy already!
I'm so glad I'm not working today, last Saturday was 42c and it's warmer today.

She is awesome, and naturally funny, I think she is great when she hosts HIGNFY.

Day 1 of this heatwave's peak, already 25C, yesterday it was 20C around 1000.
Forecast to hit 29C today and 30C tomorrow.
Trying to convince myself to head out for a ride now despite it being warmer than yesterday, telling myself it won't be much cooler than this at 2000 tonight.

34 in the shade right now. Slept in too late for any gardening, but found a shady spot to clean out the pound filters after raking out 2 large trugs worth of pond weed.
Pre-soaked t-shirt and jungle hat, but it was still far from pleasant.
Didn’t drop below 24 overnight, so thoughts and prayers out for folks without A/C and idiot Brits with loft/barn conversions in SW France right now.
