Bought a Ugreen Uno 100w that only runs 25w from plug to Ally, however runs the full 30w via pass through in docked mode.

Just tried an Anker 65w today and it's only running 25w from plug to Ally as well.

USB cable is 100w.

Is 30w from wall to Ally only available from the supplied Asus brick?

I don't know the answer, but have you tried setting a manual 30w power plan just to see what happens?
No I just tried it out and it's only giving a max 25W limit window with the 3rd party charger, thanks for the suggestion though.

Tempted to just buy a usb hub with 100W pass through, I'm guessing it'll daisy chain same as the dock I have and connect it to the battery holder on the hard shell, but it's far from ideal.

I've got the Anker 100W charger. Works perfectly for the Ally & X

For anyone interested, ended up getting this as it has 3 outputs, enables full 30w(and was £3 cheaper, @FlyingFish 100w above- magically increased to £33 on Monday before it dropped yesterday):

USB C Plug, Anker 100W USB C Charger, 736 Charger (Nano II 100W), 3-Port Fast Compact Wall Charger for MacBook Pro/Air, Google Pixelbook, ThinkPad, Dell XPS, iPad Pro, Galaxy S22/S20, iPhone 16/16Pro

Interesting, I've got the Anker Nano II 65W (currently £23) charger downstairs plugged in just for general charging.

I've just tried my Ally X plugged into it, and yeah it powers at full 30W, happy days:cool:
