Steam now supports Apple silicon

You'd better make sure you're not running the beta version of the steam client...

Just to be 100% certain.
I think I'm confused a bit. I had steam for ages and before it showed intel to either the main app or the helper, or both.

Last week I changed to the beta version, and now both show apple, hence no Rosetta2.

Which is why you're seeing both running native as the beta is fully apple silicon native, where currently only the helper is apple silicon native in the general release steam client.

Ok, I think I misunderstood your original post! I was referring to beta and you were referring to general release.
