Saw this racing at Gurston Down this weekend.

It's called the Stovebolt Special, built 1950 and raced by Stirling Moss in formula 2. Still racing up hills !

Yeah, there are quite a few. Stuttgart is OK, but Cologne is excellent and has a Michael Schumacher exhibition upstairs.
Classic Remise Düsseldorf is also worth a visit if you're in the area. Some crazy cars stored there (multiple Veyron, Carrera GT, SLR Stirling Moss, etc.)

I guess it depends what time of year you go as well, as a lot of the collectors will have their cars out and about in the summer.

AZ-1 in a museum. I remember when you could pick them up for a few grand. No one in the UK wanted them because they had tiny engines, but now they are collectable because of the cool doors.

Yeah it's pretty niche, but a great Mazda collection. Apparently the biggest outside of Hiroshima. Lots of cool stuff like every RX-7 generation, all the quirky MX-5s like the Coupe & Superlight, etc. Worth a visit if you're passing through Augsburg.

These days your choice is black or grey interior with a silver, grey, black, or white exterior. Interior colours are dealt with by OMGRGB everywhere.

Heading up the A3 this morning was a real treat, it's very obvious that FOS is this weekend. Saw some proper fancy metal, the highlight of which was an original GT40. Not trailered either, driven, in stop-start traffic, up the A3 towards the M25. I can't imagine that being very comfy

Also saw a Hudson Hornet which was cool.

And loads of white-goods "supercars", lambos, ferraris, etc.

They're collectible because of the cool doors are they?

I'm sure there's absolutely no reason for it to be in that particular collection other than the doors.

I'm looking really hard, I'm sure there's a reason that car is in that collection, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Can anyone else help here pls

They only made 4000 of them and they were only sold in Japan, thats why you didn't see many... By comparison there were plenty of Cappuccinos and Copens and things here.

My second car was a 996 with a Savannah interior, and dark blue exterior. Was a very good combo, and the cabin looked quite bright.

I was following a red 'Ferrari 360' convertible today for a few miles, sadly no photos as I was driving.. I thought it sounded a bit muted and the rear quad exhausts looks a bit off. Got home and checked - yep a converted Toyota :cry:

I really don't understand why people do this - what happens when people want to 'race' him. Does he stick it in reverse

Fact is you thought it was a Ferrari when you "looked" at it.. and that's why they do it..

What do you mean by "Race" him?? you mean race on a public road.. I hope real Ferrari drivers.. put it in reverse.. and let the IDIOTS drive off thinking they've won..
