Diogo Jota dies in car crash

Both him and his brother, absolute horror for his family. :(

One of the more likeable players. Just damned sad.

Such shocking, sad news. Watching everybody retweet tweets of his in the past couple of months, celebrating the title, the nation's league and his wedding just a few days ago is heartbreaking.

Quite surprised, unless I've missed it, that Klopp hasnt released a statement on it yet. Having said that, it did seem odd when it was mentioned in Parliament today.

I really hope that the FA take a firm stance on any chants about this at matches this season. I imagine the Wolves Liverpool game in December will be an emotional one for all in the crowd.

Went to the Molineux last night, was quite a few fans there, Liverpool and Wolves, quite an emotional place to be. Diogo was generally a well liked player and listening to all the tributes, he was a very popular team mate. Can’t imagine what his family will be going through, life can be so fickle at times :(

Dont think anyone will be surprised

RIP

Spanish police say "all the evidence so far indicates" Diogo Jota was the driver of the car involved in the accident that killed the Liverpool forward and his brother, Andre Silva.

Police also believe "the vehicle significantly exceeded the speed limit for the highway" at the time of the accident.

Must have been one hell of a mess if they couldn’t work out who was driving for this long.

Sadly excessive speed will be to the surprise of no one, it didn’t look like a within the speed limit type of collision.

It’s why I sold my high performance car, I just don’t trust myself in it anymore.

Sad for the wife and kids.

Play it safe, get an suv, anything but travel by Lamborghini and go too fast, and a high speed crash is never going to end well. People think they are invincible until they are not, think about yours and other people safety as well as family and friends, before taking risky decisions.
