Everything above the Watford gap is "Oop north" to me.
At the rate our neighbours are watering their lawn, they're doing their best to single-handedly cause one around here.
Who'd have thought watering the grass in the morning and in the evening became part of a retired person's daily routine.
Hasn’t been updated for a month or so, but I guess we had a wet enough winter to top it up:

Yup and last year it did nothing but **** down with rain basically all year.
The farmers fields around here were like lakes and only dried up for about 6 weeks.

Not only that but it creates a weak lawn as well so they are making a rod for their own back TBH.

Shame I'll have to work for 7 days of it but it is actually too hot to be out during most of the day. Mornings are glorious though. And from 4pm the water is beautiful.

At least you will have the water pouring down through the ceiling to cool you down

You are yes but these are the maximum surface temperatures from the GFS 18Z.
For comparisons:
The ECM HR 12Z on the other hand has temperatures peaking at 30-31c at 6pm and then dropping off down to the mid 20s by 9pm.
The UK Met 12z for 9pm Saturday
The UKV 15z run puts us in the oven all day...literally.
