7800xt Hotspot temps 90c, repaste or okay ?

90c is on the higher side but there's vast differences between models ,What temps are you getting under load as 20c higher hotspot temps is acceptable , you could try undervolting ?

I've got this one. https://www.sapphiretech.com/en/consumer/pulse-radeon-rx-7800-xt-16g-gddr6

I've set a manual more aggressive fan curve in the driver software, i do that anyway but also for these hot days, fan speeds are now at about 40% to 45% on a hot day with GPU temps in the low 60's, hotspot in the high 70's maybe spiking at 80c, mem temps around 75 to 80c.

I should say that i also added +7% to the power profile.

As others have said it depends on which model you have but it might also be worth you looking to set your own manual fan curve, i found my card was tunned for salient running, i think in this hot weather with the default fan curve my card too would be hitting near 90c hotspot, certainly well over 80c.

Its also worth looking at your case cooling, the best setup for me seems to be positive pressure, that helps push the hot air out, i have an Antec C7 ARGB case, i have 6 intake fans installed, 3 on the back wall and 3 on the bottom under the GPU, one exhaust at the back + the 360mm AIO fans also pulling air out the top, seems to work well in just getting the hot air out of the case, often hot air lingering in the case is the problem.
