Andor (Star Wars)

Finally found time to binge the second season.

Absolutely amazing storytelling.

Right, I have time to watch Rogue One, so why not?

Edit: And R1 was just even better as a result of this fabulous series. It's just so warm and fuzzy when IP is handled with such care and respect.

Such a shame that TLJ was what came next :(

Edit2: f it, on to episode IV...

Quite possibly one of my favourite all time TV shows

Loved Star Wars for the last 40 odd years and thought R1 was fabulous, this takes it to a whole new level

Id rewatched S1 in preparation for s2 and saved them so I could binge all the way through. So glad I did then just had to watch R1 straight after the final episode of S2

Saw this a few days ago and now may have to go back and rewatch the whole thing again....

I would say this is the best Star Wars TV show but that doesn't do it justice. One of the best TV shows of recent years period.

We watched S1 when it first aired a couple years back, then watched S2 when it aired. We couldn't remember everything that happened in S1 so we watched it all again after S2 ended. Then we thought, what the hell, let's watch S2 again :D

I think for me in hindsight I really enjoyed the sense of build up that ran through it … yes some parts were slow here and there but even that helped.

Like slowly twisting something tighter and tighter and tighter with the tension building and your hooked and compelled into wanting to see the tension release and when it did it was satisfying … be that story wise or visually.

I think I'm on episode 6?

My god, it's sooo boring, it's like naval gazing on steroids.
Yeah, I get the pacing building up the behind the scenes of a revolution eventually leading to the pay off, that's clear.
It's not keeping my attention in the slightest, at this point I just want Vader to pop up and smite all of them with one swish of his saber. Teabag Andor, and sweep his wife away on an imperial yacht!

Don't get me wrong, enjoyed Rogue one...

I'll come back to it one day, I'm probably not in the right frame of mind. If I try to push through at this point, no matter the pay off...I'll end up hating.
Gonna go rewatch the Expanse then BSG.

Season 2?

Stick with it, the next 6 episodes are incredible

I don't really see the point in putting it down if you're half way through the season. If you're intending to come back anyway then you'll either have to rewatch the first half or you won't remember things if you just try and watch the last 6 a year later

Ultimately if you aren’t enjoying it, stop watching it. Sometimes you just aren’t in the mood for something, no point forcing it.

Only thing to be mindful of is that it’s often easier to revisit things you enjoy than explore new things (especially with music) - I have to push myself sometimes to explore new things to stop my diet being too stale. No risk, no reward!

I’m yet to watch series 2 of Andor yet, despite really enjoying series 1. Haven’t been in the mood either, it just feels hard work to revisit any Star Wars at this moment.
