I do have tools, but I'm a pushbike mechanic, I don't have a clue about motorbikes
Neither did I when I got my first 125 didn't take me long before I was stripping it down and doing bits and that's carried on for the last 10 years on all my bikes.

If you've already got some tools you're in a better position than I was :D I now have tools probably worth more than that first 125 :o

They're not hard, if I can work on them, anyone can, particularly 125s which have about 4 moving parts. If this isn't your sole mode of transport and you don't mind getting your hands dirty, a whole world opens up.

Stuff like this:

Or this:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/365677683383 (these are Chinese, but are generally regarded as one of the best of the lot)

Peel the stupid stickers off this, replace the front tyre and enjoy 100+ MPG for £lol. @tom_e had one, think he really liked it iirc.

Or if you fancy riding a sofa:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/277239962642 (quite old, but it's a Suzuki so it'll outlast you probably). Bit far but for the money saved you can rent a bike mover.

These are all at the bottom of the depreciation curve, and might even make you a profit come sale time. If you just want something to get on and ride without any work, that'll be a different kettle of fish.

Yep my first bike was a YBR, great little thing to thrash the nuts off... Which it needed as I was 17/18st when I got mine and riding a lot of NSR single carriage way.

Took a ride up to Great Yarmouth with a mate for some fish n chips & some dinky donuts..

And before anyone asks, yes, I did have a go on the pirate ship.
Arrr, me hearties.
@hornetstinger get one of those green bikes, I mean what could possibly go wrong?

When filling out insurance, what would I use for the security section stored overnight? It's in back garden, behind metal gate with a padlock and chain.

Is that a locked compound or private property?
