It's too hot :(

Mine read 40c when I checked at 2pm  , with how hot it feels, I'd almost believe it.

My Bresser weather station topped out today at 40c too.

Bit disappointed because I thought it was very accurate, I set it up exactly as instructed and Bresser have a good reputation

Dyson fans are totaly pants unless you need the air purification snake oil...
A saw a video (American) reviewing fans and a $15 dollar pedistal fan from Wallmart totally knocked it out of the water in terms of noise, airflow and power consumption. Not to mention price!

That has been our experience to some degree and I wouldn't pay for one but it was bought for him several years ago. It does help reduce pollen amd the heat function was useful when we had an issue with his room temp in winter a couple of years ago.

We actually had a14" pedestal fan, the Dyson and a couple of desktop mini fans in his room the last couple of nights to keep him cool. He can't regulate his body temp very well and trying to keep him in the low 38 range.

@mattyfez yeah he has very complex health/disability issuesThat looks great, not sure of the practicality of installing it due to the very compromised layout of his room. Council property, so I shall have to discuss with them. Crazy how that is not much more than the Dyson was five or so years ago.

For my Netatmo weather station with the extra outdoor enclosure add-on, I placed mine right behind the fence with my house in the way so it's blocked from the sun as much as possible so the enclosure is not being heated like an oven to throw off the readings. Even with these warm temperatures at the moment, it seems to be giving me pretty accurate temperatures throughout the day.

Where's the temp sensor located in the car though? I'ts highly likely to read a bit high if its getting warmed up from the hot metal.

I drive a 2011 Focus MK3 Titanium. Doing a quick search, it seems mine might be in the wing mirror, which would explain hotter than normal temperatures. Always gets more accurate when driving once it gets some airflow.

It will require drilling a hole in the wall to pass the hose though, and connecting it to the electricity in a neat way. Then you have to mount the fan unit on an exterior wall/roof, so you're probably looking at a couple of hundred quid extra to have it installed properly... but they are soo good!

Can you get a grant or discount or somhhting if it's a medical issue?

I have a few of them in my spanish property - this one is installed in a corner above a door, in an interior wall in one of the bedrooms... its absolutley fine... just depends on the complexity of the install - fitting it to an exterior wall will significantly reduce the complexity of the instal, if at all possible/

Good shout from @mattyfez - I highly recommend if you are able to. Not that LG unit, but got one installed in the office a few years ago and don't regret it at all. Obviously costed a fair bit of money, but well worth it IMO. No doubt would massively help your son too.

In regards to council, not sure what the rules are, but if you're paying the installation yourself, then I don't see why not. Though given it's a council property, I imagine the council would get iffy about any kind of work.

Would they reasonably be able to refuse though, if it's for medical reasons? especially if your paying for it.... I don't know, I'm just pondering/speculating... I mean they'd have to allow modifications for wheelchair access or whatever, so is this really much different?
