Roof mounted Arctic 360/420MM AIO owners, what case do you have?

Hi, well I was going to get a Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360MM, and mount it up front, but I really don't want to loose future GPU space in a case lacking it to start with, nor starve the GPU...

So I looked into various mid towers and the TLDR is none support the 360MM in the top due to the thick 63MM clearance required and instead hit your VRM - I'm not messing about running louder slim fans and thus making the AIO cost more and loosing it's known quiet but efficient fans...

This got me thinking, if I have to run a full size case, if possible as a bonus, I'd like to run the 420MM version, if not a 360MM is still fine.

I want a mesh case with as much airflow as possible.
I'm considering either the Antec Flux Pro, Corsair Frame 5000D RS or the Fractal Design Meshify 3XL TG, which is far longer with 512mm GPU support - which should give me clearance for the 420MM version of the AIO?

When I look online, the 'RS' version of the Corsair Frame 5000D doesn't come up very often? Am I safe to say it is the same case as the Frame 5000D? And they've just not used the full name? Or is there 2 variants?

Which is the better case in terms of temps/airflow/silence for either the 360MM or 420MM? Am I right in thinking I can only use the 360MM with the 5000D, and need the more expensive 7000D for the 420MM - if so I can't justify the even bigger and more expensive 7000D so that'll be a no go and I'll stick to a 360MM unless the Fractal will still allow the 420MM ALF III Pro?

Are the included fans any good in either case? I'm after as close to silence as possible with the best airflow, otherwise the fans will get replaced.

Other than that, I cant really find anything in an acceptable budget, it just seems to get silly after this price range?

I'm open to any alternative cases, must be black though.

Thanks for any input :)

Flux Pro and Artic works, when I was working on one there's fair distance above motherboard. I wasn't fitting a AIO though.

Found image of someone with artic AIO in Flux Pro

Nice one! I actually like the wood contrast too!
Thanks for this! I've added it to the list of potential cases ;) I'm hoping it wont hit a beefier VRM, that might end up being my case then, if I don't go with the Fractal!

Had my 420 mm in the front of my phantek evolv x and it's in the roof of my phantek nv9.
Thanks for the suggestions, I'm after a mesh case, that's cool but I can see the temps not being as good and me needing loads of fans, thus more noise?

@hornetstinger I think you've just sold me on that Antec, I just had a proper look on the Antec website, that is an awesome featureset  and the temp display is a nice bonus!
Thank you so much for this!

yeah it's a good case, I build one a couple of weeks ago.

One thing I would have liked is screw holes for the panels for extra security, if I was constantly transporting it around I'd want that. Or just tape up the panel especially the glass one for peace of mind.

Yeah I think it blows the Corsair and the Fractal out of the water featureset wise!
Ah don't worry it wont ever go anywhere haha! However I do tend to keep the box and it's packing, to store my existing hardware's boxes inside - currently doing that with the case I have at the moment ;) so if I ever took it anywhere, I can just do that ;)

Here's mine anyway :)

Why is that £30 more expensive that a 3XL?
I think it's bigger, or at least offers different internal space?

2XL

CPU Cooler Max Height 185 mm
Video Card Max Length 549 mm
Power Supply Max Length 250 mm

3XL
Max CPU Cooler Height 182 mm
Max GPU Card Length 512 mm
Max PSU Length 230 mm

Thanks mate :)
Haha, that's rather ironic considering 3XL means a size bigger than 2XL  dear oh dear! :P
