Star Wars “MCU to "Refocus” Disney begging Men to come back!

The only possible way they could do her justice would be to retcon the entire 7-8-9 trilogy imo.
I believe most have retconned it in their heads anyway!!
I don't see how they missed the boat, there is a huge time period after 4,5,6 they could put her in. They'd have to recast a younger Luke though.
Mark Hamill signed his likeness and voice over to Disney. Pretty sure they would do their normal Hocus Pocus

I hope not, I still don't think the technology is there for that, it was dreadful in Rogue One.
Agree.

Should just throw it to Sebastian Stan for the period after 4, 5, 6, have their likeness taken too for future use (older Luke), then when the tech is finally there, can tell the stories as required with whichever version of Luke is needed. But until then, an actual actor would be better.

I can't see SW getting better until they purge most of the staff tbh.

The writing, casting, even the lighting and camera work has been pretty awful in a lot of it.

Don’t laugh now but I’m being serious. If I recall correctly they been using like a cinema screen backdrop (not sure of the name) to cut costs than actually filming in real locations.

So whole crews are packed up put in hotels and sent to the UK for tax avoidance and cheaper filming and the budgets are still eye watering.

Are you talking about The Volume* which is an Unreal Engine powered front lit screen system that sets the background as it would be seen from the camera perspective and being front lit gives good and realistic light reflection. It's not appropriate for everything and practical effects are always best but it is an impressive tool.

* at least I think that is the name they use.

Probably did that for Obi-Wan and Acolyte which is why some environments looked off. Also the camera shaking in Obi-wan was awful. They keep hiring DEI grifter directors and cast etc who do a bad job of things while taking a LOT of money.

Mando looked way better, they used a lot of practical sets.

Mando was the one that used the screen for the sets which is why it looked so good. I've seen these screens first hand, they have a ride in universal studios for I think Bourne identity ride.

It's so impressive with the actors in front and as they walk the screen walks with them, gives great backdrops and looks so realistic at times you forget you're in a ride in a theme park.

I'll try find a picture.

I think this is what bigpig was taking about, though he has a negative view of it while I think it's great when done well.

yes 100% I’m all for location shoots. Technology has its place but real props, models and locations all the way.

I’ve visited quite a few of the starwars locations from the first 6 films and locations in Ireland from sequels.
