Ok, i will look at paying £100 end of this month, £100 end of Aug, and £50 end of sept,

I will decide what to do then, i may then either do one more lump sum and let the rest come out in next years , or i will pay the remainder this year
 
Another year passes and another year of total confusion filling out this self assessment form. I must have done something critically bad because it now thinks I need to pay back £23k in tax. Which was the same amount I already have paid in my PAYE salary. I hate this form with a passion.

I only want my pension tax "relief at source" back for the last ever time cos I am now doing salary sacrifice.

Try a service such as TaxScouts. I've used them before.
