My work is 3km away, I just bought a cheapo bike to get in. Takes me 15-20mins to get there and has the benefit of being good for your health too.Son has just started a new job and is insistent on working the night shift. I've tried to dissuade him but he's not having it. This would be 10pm to 6am and while he doesn't drive I have zero intention of picking him up at 6am and ideally won't be dropping him off either! It's about 3 miles to work and 3 miles back. Does anyone have any recommendations? Something legal, from the Indian food electrical retailer would be good too. Lights, waterproof etc.
I did search for a thread but anything I found was 4+ years old.

Glad you said that! Also getting away with it on a scooter is fine, until you're involved in some sort of accident be it your fault or not, you're going to get the book thrown at you - rightly or wronglyThis doesn't look like a cheapo bike?!
Not new, picked it up from Cash Converters. This doesn't look like a cheapo bike?!
Waw!!!At 6am? He can get a bloody taxi!
Unless they can get a cut of the profits.None of them are legal to use on public land, unless they're part of an official trial.
This is electrically assisted bikes, as a few people have already saidInteresting, I thought there was a power and/or speed limitation before they became illegal. I guess that's a bust as I'm sure it wouldn't take much for a bored copper to see him on the way to work and decide to stop him, seize the thing and fine him. Bicycle it is!
Like these?I think it must be heavily dependent on where in the country you are because in Bristol massive amounts of people commute by alternative electric 'vehicles'.
