Yeah I don't think I've ever seen that order status before with Amazon. Usually it's just one of these four...

Watching the Digital Foundry review has piqued my curiosity on this game. Might have to pick it up if the reviews end up unanimously good.

So Nintendo's own DK game on its own hardware is not making use of VRR or the superior DLSS and using FSR1 of all things, bloody ridiculous!

Tears of the kingdom didn’t use DLSS and used FSR1, and is one of the best games I’ve ever played ‍:p

The game is really fun, definitely feels like a great platformer even with the slightly janky camera but I suppose that's a hallmark of platformers anyway

It started development as a Switch 1 game, so perhaps wasn't feasible to go back and make the (custom) engine work well with DLSS.

DLSS is also TAA based and can cause quite obvious artifacting/distortion in games with a lot of particle effects going on, the FSR+SMAA approach DK uses may just have been the better choice overall. DLSS is great, but it's not a magic thing that gives raw frames completely for free - there's still a trade off somewhere.

99% of those who play it probably wouldn't notice the difference either way lol

Not in a rush to play it because I don't like the character or have any fondness for any other game in the series, but I will definitely try it at some point. Tried NMS the other day and was disappointed how bad it looked and ran as it would be great on handheld.

I was close to grabbing it when it was on sale about a month back on the eShop since the devs put out some NS2 enhancements. Glad I held off.

It is locked to 30fps which was the first thing I noticed, you can choose the unlocked option which helps but then of course you will really feel the drops. Then it also just doesn't look good which is a shame as I've seen how good CP2077 look (apples and oranges). It is very demanding even on my PC mind which is pretty high spec at 4k.

Well I ordered dk, it's a bit of a shock paying 65 for it after paying 35 for zelda brand new a couple of weeks ago

Same team that does the 3D Mario's games so I couldn't say no.
Think I'm going to get dragged in too, wasn't too keen on the idea of paying that much but it does look great fun
