That's the point, it's having a laugh at old action movies, the toy helicopter at the end should have made that pretty obvious as that's generally what they used back then to show a helicopter exploding.

Interesting there's no sub-zero at least so far. Following the storyline of the games the original Sub becomes Noob and his brother takes his place.

We see Noob Saibot, so Bi-Han is there - we might not see the next Sub-Zero yet. Although I haven't kept up with the games Lore I only know the original story from the 90s.
 
just seen the trailer, the trailer seam less focused on the OG cast and more on Jonny cage, im not sure about making him older to start off with, I think we will loose Jonny cage we know.
 
Karl Urban lobbied to get the part of Johnny Cage so I've read. Sounds like they want to also do a threequel hence why he is not even considered for the new Dredd movie.

Yeah takes you back to all those movie trailers from the 80's and 90's. Where the VHS video case picture looked better than the movie.
