if dust is allowed to collect on the PCB, sooner or later you WILL have a problem. Electricity will circumvent capacitors and resistors if it can and when you have 100's watts of power that will burn be that a GPU, your motherboard, a data drive...

Games consoles are rarely opened and full of dust too, and again, don't randomly catch fire because of it, not even ones from the 80's etc that have never been opened?
