As per title. We have checked with banks etc to see if they have been kept/ archived and with the solicitor that held my father will, but nothing has turned up.
I have tried my best searching for some good advice but just keep getting spam links to register companies and the like.

Would anyone have any advice about how to check or if theirs a way to find or renew the deeds to a home. The morgage was paid off long time ago.

Thanks guys, I went their website but honestly not clued up on this kind of thing. Guess theirs no reason till I had to. Ill just get a time to call them and sort out what's what. I kept being directed like I had to by a day pass to go look for them etc.

As I recall you can purchase copies of deeds from Land Reg for £10 or so. For any property you like. YOu should be able to do it online.

Just check that you're on the genuine site and not a fake / middleman.

Yea this is what got me...my god what happened to search engines lol. Was nearly purely middle companies saying that can do it for you etc.

This is the correct one. I recently got the £7 online copy for a family member and it was quite easy.

Nice one fella thank you very much!

If you already have a solicitor helping with probate (you may be doing this yourself) ask them to check if the title is registered. If it is then the deeds are just bits of paper and are not needed to convey the property to a new owner - this is my understanding anyway!

Deeds can hold some very useful extra information. Ours have more detailed information on who is responsible for each boundary. Land registry is very basic.

Agree, those details are great to have. I guess my answer was aimed at the OP's immediate concern.
