Summer Transfer Window 25/26 *Sponsored by Bigpig*

It’s not a negotiation though is it, we want £150m, pay the £150m and he’s yours, why should we negotiate if we won’t take less and you’re offering less.
and that's why when he does move it'll be for less than Wirtz, if its not this summer or in the winter window or even next summer - hell its coming out we are more than happy to wait for him to wind his contact down. All part of the dance :)

Feel free to go back and check, I always said he would leave next summer.
Edit even possibly in the winter window if we’re out of the champions league and you offer over £100m

Shirley with pretty much unlimited money, but given PSR, a club should invest in their youth and training facilities.. which are excluded from PSR... it will take a few years.. but you then become the go to club for the very best youth players, and you can hoover up loads of them without worrying about PSR...

Clubs trying to buy their way to the top table in short order is no longer going to work. Newcastle and other clubs with money to burn like Villa, just need to be patient.. which I understand as a fan is hard..

The difficulty that fans have accepting things is that commercial deals are based on success, which you now need money to do consistently. But to get the money you need the deals.

Buying raw players to flip doesn’t work, as you always weaken after the sales and brining in the raw material again.

So clubs at the top of the commercial ladder will stay there and it becomes almost impossible to catch.

I blame Eddie Howe. He’s worked miracles!

Yeah I dont think Isak will go anywhere this summer or winter window but I'm 99% certain that he will move on within the next 2 years, he's a high calibre striker, he isnt going to spend his prime years at Newcastle, like it or not they just arent a big enough team for that. He'll head off to the continent as some point, sooner rather than later, to a PSG or a Bayern or something of that ilk.

Whatever. He signed a new deal. There's absolutely no chance Isak does the same at Newcastle. Not without a release clause which would make a bigger farce out of this whole charade.
What farce? Liverpool fans still think we got him locked up in the basement?

You inquired about the player and lowballed us and got told to do one

Which we did and moved on. Now you're left with the wreckage of that 'cos you were unrealistic and will be seen by Isak and his agent as having acted in bad faith. Not to mention the other players in your squad and any potential signings.

In which world is a British transfer record offer lowballing anyone?

On the plus side, at least we didnt do an Arsenal and offer £120m plus £1 :D
Yous love to bulk up your deals with addons. Take the financial hit if you’re successful which is a brilliant way to do business.

We still owe around 30m on Isak and with the Champions league worth around 70m minimum now that offer was a no go.

Because it’s £30m short of a price that we said would get us to the table, do you go into a car dealership and offer 20% below the list price and expect them to roll over and say go on then or make an offer on a house 20% below asking? You would be told to jog on because it’s insulting, and complete arrogance on your part.

Not a fan of addons myself, I get why they are "a thing", but I would rather a transfer fee just be a flat fee without addons (even if the fee then has to be higher to account for no addons)

To use Wopsters analogy above, I dont buy a car or a house for the asking price and then tell them that I will give them an extra 20% in a years time if the car has done 20,000 miles well and the roof of the house hasnt collapsed :D

Like I keep saying and you seem to keep ignoring what I say, the only party that will feel insulted here is Isak and the only arrogance is Newcastle's for slapping an unrealistic price on a player and expecting that not to have detrimental repercussions, because you've got money and don't need to sell.

Liverpool asked, you did what you did and we moved on. Now you've got to live with it.

You’re trying to buy one of the best strikers in Europe if not the world and your offering Højlund money, some of you Liverpool fans really do have a sense of entitlement, I would love to see you if you ever enter negotiations to buy a house.
