Show Us Your Motors!

First track day in the M3, took it fairly easy didn't do too many laps as its only on stock brakes. Good fun though!

Could not have got luckier, morning was wet and slippery but by lunch time it had dried out and old military road was a blast.

Pretty much dry for today’s got lucky, staying near St. Andrews and long drive home tomorrow but of course the fun roads whilst in Scotland.

Not totted it up but Don nearly 1000 miles over last four days and put several hundred quid of fuel in.

Some changes…

Carbon bonnet and new wheels?
Bonnet has been on for a while, I’ll be changing it to a different one. This doesn’t quite match the look I want..

But ikeya formula front arms, 4.62 final drive and new wheels.

255/40 ad09 Yokohamas also going on soon.

Not as exciting as some motors on here but as per my post the other week...

My Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy. Took delivery 1st July.

Really quite happy with it, much more spec than my XC90, just lacks the power!! but it's not dire at all, the 250 is more than enough day today.

Lots of nifty gadgets as you'll come to expect with cars from that way on and plenty comfortable for all 4 of my kids

...and the sound system is amazing!

Subaru is road ready, drove nicely back home but Ill need to run it for a wee bit and let it loosen up. Sitting for months so the brakes need using and as its just had the full service, pumps and belts, Ill take it easy for a bit.

A wee list of cosmetic stuff to do, Stereo, tints are needing removed on the back, bonnet vent needs painting, but overall, seems solid.

Big old units those things but I like the styling and nice to see someone that owns one that actually has the family to fill one. :D

That’s a wrap!

Our final day was scorching with more amazing roads including A7 historic route.

Car is nearly on 22,000 miles now, an awesome five day trip, around 1000 miles done and nearly £500 of fuel consumed but worth every penny.

We had a local with us we did roads that are not littered with campers and as such every day was a true sensational drive with little traffic, sometimes drive for miles and not see a car. :)

Next trip is Europe, Switzerland and Italy in September. All in all this trip cost about £2000 with 4 nights in hotels, good food and drink along with lots of fuel consumed.

Hmm, I haven't heard anyone say "because racecar" for a while.

Because racecer. :p

It looks a lot more purposeful and less "driving miss daisy" than when I first got it. Has about 50% more power and a few suspension tweaks too!
