The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

I'll need to double check the setting hasn't turned back on, but I did turn graphical acceleration off as a fix for my Discord going blank. It's still happening. If I manage to find the minimise button and maximise it again it works.

Also as we're talking PSU, 650W Superflower Leadex 3 Gold with Asrock Steel Legend, 5950x, 9 fans, 2x NVME, 1 SATA and 1 mechanical drive on an X570. No issues. Use the 750W.

My SF750 certainly hasn't seemed to struggle.
How are you finding the 9070XT in the Ghost S1? I've still got my Ghost S1 in a cupboard upstairs and have been so tempted to put my build back into it as I'm downsizing a few things.

I moved into another case as I have two top hats and it was a pain to get into every time.

However from a cooling aspect exhausting out the top and bottom and intaking at the sides worked really well. You do need a reaper to fit in it though.

if helps, Evet viewer showing errors at crash time
I wouldn't worry about the Distributed COM warning or the TPM secure boot entries. :) The informational entry about low virtual memory though is interesting, whilst in itself not an error, it is interesting that 32GB doesn't appear to be sufficient for your rig. It suggests something is eating up a lot of resources. I don't know how memory intensive ACC is, but perhaps long races, many opponents, etc plus background apps could means 32GB isn't enough. But if the pagefile is system managed it could just be that it was of small size to begin with and had to be increased. As I say, not necessarily an issue. Would be good to see memory usage if you could game again and alt+tab out?

so its got worse today i barely get seconds into ACC and cyberpunk and hard lock up black screen 100 fan spin, event viewer is showing different things today than it did yesterday, so im confused, is it gpu or something else, it only does it when get into a game, desktop/videos are fine, everything except games:confused:
and stress testing in adrenaline and running unigine heaven bench are both fine

update, i think i might have found the issue, the other day i pushed my pc into a tighter place, older pic so ignore the wires as tidied now,lol maybe i restricted air flow?, since ive pulled it out, all seems fine atm

Seems that is intel's rapid storage, are there any updated drivers for your PC/MB ? and possibly ARC drivers https://www.reddit.com/r/IntelArc/comments/1l9cqoe/need_help/

Also I know its unlikely but is it possible its CPU related ? Only reason I ask is that it seems more gen 13 and 14 chips are failing

I doubt its the above as yours is an i5 and likely not as badly affected but you never know.

EDIT - Just read that it could be airflow, so could well be your CPU over heating as per the above link

What I forgot to say early as well by the way. Black screen + looping sound is usually an indicator of a bad PSU. See how you get on over coming days though, as you've said, moving it appears to have helped so fingers crossed it was simply just a lack of airflow and a build up of heat.

i can't see how, even if pushed tight to that unit on the left it would restrict the airflow to the point it would cause the gpu to overheat - but obviously i could be wrong. fans on top venting out, ones to the side drawing in? any others not visible in the pic -rear or on the bottom of the case maybe?

In that picture it looks to me like quite a chunky rug the PC tower is sitting on (at least half of it anyway) which is where the PSU tends to draw fresh air in from to keep cool (underside of the tower), so could be PSU overheating as well.

Is there nothing you could put underneath the tower to lift the PC off the carpet/rug?

I am toying with idea of lifting it behind monitor, I'm sure I see a plate that fits to ally rig
