This Instant And Moment - 2025!

IKEA guy just assembled the new chest of drawers for the guest room. It took him with his experience 45 minutes. I guess it would have taken me a lot longer.

Looking at the wall there I see it will need sugar soaping to remove a few marks before the new bed goes in.

I've quite a lot of experience at assembling furniture and it took me 3 hours the other day, and that wasn't me being slow, at assembling something which reckoned 1 hour... another one had 15 really nicely documented steps and then jumped to the end product with one vague diagram and a few arrows which was actually another ~15 steps, some of them tricky, looking at the reviews a lot of people were going off the rails at that point and just returning it.

Which protests are you against exactly?

Any and all of them, the whole kit and caboodle. Protestors are a fringe and a small one at that. Normally they achieve little.

There are wrongs that need righting, the ballot box is the normal place.

Unfortunately in the world we currently live in, that is an unrealistically hopeful stance. :(

Some things won't wait 4 years to take action on unfortunately.

This includes foreign wars and nurses working themselves to death, so it's not some woke issue.

As if action would be taken after those 4 years anyway, the government doesn't deliver on promises, they just make **** up to help them get voted in.

It is a woke issue, because wokeness is good and it is good to be woke, the word has been twisted by unempathetic out-of-touch right wing nutters.

It originally meant "awareness of racial prejudice and discrimination" but is now broadened to include all kinds of social injustice.

As Kathy Burke said... "I love being woke, its much nicer than being an ignorant ****ing ****" Poetry! :p

Very cool! Is the set up big?
Not really the whole setup only takes up 20"x13" like half of the top of a Chester drawer

My colonies still so small it could live in a 150mm x 16mm test-tube for probably another 1-2 months. (at 20 workers and 7+ of those eclosed in the last 24hours.)

I don't think they will outgrow this current setup for ages. maybe not even this year, I already got 2 other XL nests from https://www.estheticants.com/product-page/xl-mesh-nest that can probably hold 1000+2000 ants so I'm good for probably 2years with all the stuff I have.

Even the tiny little red covered nest at the back would be big enough for my colony, but they live in the front left part.

They put all the trash in the middle pvc tube so I just hoover it out every few days
colonies reached a point where it should only be about a week between generations now so should quickly climb from the 20+ I have, queen only lays as many eggs as the colony can take care of etc, takes about 30 days full cycle from egg to worker. so was a long wait between the first few gens and only small amount.

These ants.
