No one talking about the "attack" on the RAF refueling aircraft?

I'm not being rabid about it I'm not so bothered really, but if you destroy an engine with a grenade or with paint the result is essentially the same.

Pretty sure the aircraft dont sit their fully armed - "the bombs" will be secure in a hangar - by secure I mean guarded by a retired 70 yr old earning some pint money and his 3 legged dog obviously.
Eh?

I'm talking about terrorists with bombs not paint.

29 people got themselves arrested while protesting outside the high court over the governments decision to ban them. There people that are getting nicked over climate change, Black Lifes Matter, Palestine etc......don't they realise this will go on record and will show up when employers do a Criminal record check? Are they just dumb or just so wealthy and privileged that they just don't care?

IIRC of those charge for attacking the plane most of them had no fixed address, therefore if similar the 29 arrested here probably have very little to lose.

What a surprise, no addresses and probably no jobs either, it's the same story everywhere

I'm not sure I've ever known a group that has caused criminal damage but has been non-violent in nature to be labelled terrorists.

But because I've not heard of that doesn't mean it's not happened before.

E: Apparently violence is not necessary in the Terrorism Act 2000

I guess 'serious damage to property' would cover it
They may not have been violent in this instance, however I'll point you to this

It's worth noting that this isn't the first thing PA has done.

A police officer was taken to hospital after being hit with a sledgehammer while responding to reports of criminal damage.
A vehicle was used to ram the entrance of the Bristol HQ of defence technology firm Elbit Systems on Bolingbroke Way in Patchway, on the outskirts of Bristol, shortly before 04:00 BST.

All four were charged with conspiracy to damage property, with Ms Garland, Ms Hobson and Ms Kamal all also charged with one count of assault by beating.

Teledyne CML Composites, a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies, produces components for the F-35 jets, which have been used in Israeli airstrikes. According to the activists, these jets play a significant role in Israel’s operations in Gaza, which have been the focus of international concern.

A senior Teledyne manager has reportedly said that damage to the clean rooms could halt production for up to 12 months. This is not the first time Palestine Action has targeted Teledyne; in July, activists drove a van into the factory gates and sprayed red paint on the building. In April, the group disrupted operations at Teledyne’s Shipley site, halting the production of military electronics.
"Two men and one woman have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and aggravated trespass. One was arrested for failing to appear at court."

Disrupt, damage, destroy: training days for UK’s Gaza activists (archive link to times article)

A hardline pro-Palestine campaign group is training members on “how to create a cell” and use hostile tactics against British firms linked to the Israeli weapons industry.
New members are being taught to organise in a group of “three to five” trusted people, use burner phones, pay in cash for sledgehammers and carry out reconnaissance.

Now I don't have an issue with protests, and accept that some form of destruction of property is par for the course (this doesn't include spray paint, which seems to get peoples knickers in a twist for some reason...) . I do take issue with attacking people and I do think anything that could affect our military capability is a massive no. Do I think PA are terrorists (in my concept of what it means)? No not really. But, again, anything that affects our military capability is, potentially, as big an issues. Even more so in the current global climate.

seems like they mostly retired or trust fund babies, they know prisons are full, people are serving 1/3 sentences and the odds of being sent down are very slim, especially with ridiculous sympathetic judges.

whats the worst that can happen? you get a few weeks in prison? you don't have a job or work anyway does it really matter?
they all seem to be attention seeking narcists

These are the kinds of people who in previous generations would have gone on long holidays doing charity work, now they don;t bother, it's too much hard work so they would rather disrupt peoples lives instead.

There's a factory in newcastle that's always being attacked/protested because it has links to israel, it should be classed as stalking or something.. these people literally need restraining orders

Maybe they just have principles and want to stand up for what they believe in?

It took wealthy women protesting to get the vote for some women and some men who had gone to war while the State precluded them from voting in elections.

Your point?

they can still go to the rest of Palestine

heres a good one for the yuppies

What We Do

1) Demonstrations against the continuing construction of the Apartheid Wall, Israeli-only roads and Israeli settlements in villages in southern Palestine.
Doubt you get snacks and cups of tea if you lay in the road but they could try.

if they had principles they could go protest in gaza or do volunteer work there with a charity or something
Ah yes. Drop their lives and travel to one of the most dangerous areas on the planet where a genocide is currently being committed. Perfectly comparable to attending protests in this country.

I mean maybe some of them have been out to the wider area and helped out who knows? I would imagine anyone who has been out there is probably is also involved in protests at home as well.

Living a nomadic lifestyle or a refusal to accept an address doesn’t mean they have nothing to lose. iirc an NHS Dr claimed NFA, it can just mean you don’t want to tell people to where you live.
