Welcome to modern F1

What a joke again another race they don't even have full wets on and crying or going over the top with safety.

Yes viability is not great but the full wet sends the spray higher into the air as well as clears more.

Looking back at the past so many great races in conditions like this in far more dangerous situations yet modern F1 with all the technology etc wont race.

They already saw on the radar that more rain is expected so even if they cleared it (and continue the lap count) then it probably would have ended up stopping again anyway.

The sport has gone backwards.
Schumacher racing in the rain created some of the most memorable F1 moments in my youth.
Its like THE thing that stood out and I was always so excited to watch races knowing it would be raining.

Now if rains predicted I just know a lot of my afternoon is going to be wasted literally watching a timer ticking to a race start.

So there's a gap in the rain right now, so the obvious decision is to wait until the next batch of heavy rain arrives to delay the race even more.

Radar looks like a short period of rain, then an hour of clearer weather then a massive band of even heavier rain.

Utterly daft. Yes, the visibility is poor right now but do a few laps behind the SC to clear a bit of water and then have a go before the heavy stuff arrives shortly. We've got no chance now.

It would be good to send them out on the wets just so people can see what a ludicrous amount of spray is thrown up by them clearing the 85 litres per second Pirelli claim.

Silverstone 2008 stands out to me.

Spray seems to stop almost every wet race.
They need to do something about it and develope some spray supression
Mandated 2 minute pitstop to add mud guards?
Edit: Being deadly serious, yeah it'll add so much drag but imagine the reduction in spray.
