Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

What’s happened with Nvidia it’s down over 2% and still tanking in a steep straight line.

[edit]

Apparently have no supply to resupply China.

Dropped 3.54% now.

Correction probably. Nvidia's valuation has been hilariously overpriced for ages, the China thing is just the catalyst for a correction.

can confirm with my portfolio
only intel and BA are refusing to die, 2 stocks that never did that well recently anyway

it's profits just algo bots taking profits and dumping the market as usual.

a nice little dip just before I buy is always good but this is hardly a dip.

Yep, give it a week and it'll be back to where it was. All the bots will be re-buying :P

It's quite funny when you look at the graph for many tech stocks, they are near identicle. Bots buying the same groups of shares at the same time.

bots are like "oh no the rsi has broken the trend line, these stocks are all over bought, we gotta dump some and wait a week"

I'm all over the shop at the moment... double whammy from the pedo in the whitehouse
1. The EU & canadian tarrifs thing is still up in the air
2. The huge Epstine files scandal

If I looks at last weeks performance it's grim, but if I look at the last 3 months, its fine..

It'll calm down...soon hopefully!

What a difference a day makes

Anything with high growth is overvalued today but I would rather they fall then climb because I wasnt selling anyway and this gives a chance to buy more with a better price. AI might be overhyped on one hand, its going to take years but I also think anything which can change usability, widen the product market from that ease of use is easily a justified product.

Chatgpt lost a chess match to an Atari home computer first released in the 1970's was a funny story. I wont fear AI too much then :D

ABDN I've owned a few times since IPO nearly 20 years ago, all time low and sharp reversal recently. If shares break a decade long macro decline then they might continue to do well. Resistance 220 I think earnings 30th

I didn't even think about this week being "bad" or worth writing about. It's nothing.
As others have said the last 12 months have been insane. I say insane as there are a lot of warning signals happening at the moment.

I'm still gradually selling off many of my US tech stocks. Or at least taking profit.

Everything seems over bought in general and detached from reality. Which we've discussed on here before.

Economic data in general doesn't look great for UK at least (I don't think things are super rosy in the US either).

Layoffs are rife and house prices (I believe) are falling?

Personally I'm surprised markets are hitting all time highs.

maybe because central banks have removed the left tail from the markets a long time ago, only if there is extreme economic circumstances does it fall 20/30%

It won't, since we isolated ourselves from Europe, were now a very small fish stuck between two of the largest trading entities on the planet - the EU and the USA.
That's why I don't understand how the ftse has hit an all time high.
