Are Chavs/Charvas actually more likely to be dangerous compared to other groups of people (ie Goths/Nerds etc)?

It's so sad an original essex 90s chav was just a scrote, in branded clobber his mum and bought him to show off down Romford market.

Every generation has it's "chavs" designated by a new dress or fashion and a rebellious attitude to authority.

Now it's all roadman innit, no father's, no discipline, no boundaries because no one has ever stood up to them, or is allowed to, Influenced by African ultra violent machete first ask questions later bs.

If a few modern teenagers wanna dress up as 80s and 90s chavs, knock yourselves out.

I used to think bell-bottoms and Afghan coats were cool in the 00s. I was a ****ING idiot too.

Pick something cool tho like a teddy boy or a mod, tracksuit and white reeebok trainers and a Baseball cap is just so naff

On a tangent…

Where did all the goths and skaters go ?

If you walked down any major high street in the UK in the late 90s to early 2000s you’d always see groups of depressed looking goths hanging around in big groups, same goes for Skaters.

Did people grow out of it ? Are Marilyn Manson concerts now just full of middle aged blokes dressed in suits ? Or do they keep the dress up strictly for special occasions now like gigs ?

Are goth influencers a thing ? That would be hilarious

Pity that @Tealx won't know who this is as she/he/it/cis/straight/trans/femdom/lol would've been too young to get it.

Where are all the new generation of goths at though ? I feel like I haven’t even seen a bog standard metaller in public in the last decade or more as well.
there's a couple of goths live round my local town and then plenty of 'mettalers' appear at the weekends. though i live in a coastal town popular with bikers who seem to nearly all wear metallica tee-shirts once they strip off their leathers.
kids, at least the normal non stabby ones don't tend to hang around outside on the streets anymore the way they/we used to in the 80's, 90's and early 00's - i'm guessing they sit at home listening to their dreary music and messaging their mates on tiktok or whatever young uns do these days instead of talking.

Dont know, every time I have been attacked by someone they looked and dressed like ordinary working class people and not like any social group like goths or hoodies etc...

All online.

When I was a teenager, I knew some nazi skinheads. They were decent enough lads if you knew them well.

If you didn't, or you were non-white, they were terrible people.

I fell out with them after a serious incident I won't describe here.

They're nearly all dead now- quite a few didn't even reach 30. The one (haven't seen him in years) is in and out of jail regularly.

They weren’t ‘decent enough lads’ - they were obviously scumbags. That’s like saying Putin isn’t a bad guy if you’re his mate.

Hello. Not a skater though.
You, checking your notifications on OCUK each morning :)

With the benefit of hindsight, yep. At the time, I'd known them for years- since being kids. Their idiocy escalated with time.
being completely honest, while not nazi or chavvy, there were a couple of slightly older lads i knocked about with way back when who just could not avoid fighting with pretty much anyone outside our group and for no reason whatsoever most times (think Begbie from Trainspotting) Course to me and the rest of our little group they were bloody good fellas who we thought very highly of :cry:.......the reality was they were utter headcases who i would now avoid like the plague and back then should have run a mile from too. most calmed down with parenthood - one is still a bit lively if he's out of a night and has fallen 100% into the covid is fake, maga is great camp so that speaks volumes to his wit (despite him being well into his 50's i most certainly would not be telling him that to his face mind you :p)
