Summer Transfer Window 25/26 *Sponsored by Bigpig*

3 years left on his contract, World Cup year, tapping up from Liverpool, put him with the u21’s if he refuses to train or play
you lot are struggling to get any players in as it is, I'm sure treating a current player like that is really gonna sell the 'newcastle dream' to any potential targets

So just bend over, yeah right, you haven’t even put a bid in, put the asking price down or jog on

"Waaa, we're gonna get a British transfer record fee, waaaa"

Clubs lose star players they would rather keep every week, especially at the start of a project.

By all reports wissa is doing the same and refusing to train, I assume you lot will not be chasing him as a courtesy?

Come on, it's not as simple as that. Regardless of the fee, this deal doesn't happen unless Newcastle are able to sign 2 or 3 players to replace Isak with and that's what we're seeing now. Newcastle are trying to get their ducks in a row and when that happens the Isak deal happens. We know the clubs have had talks, either formally or informally and who knows it's possible an outline deal has been agreed but it's all subject to you tying down replacements.

Zubimendi, Gyokeres, Norgaard, Eze....pressure will really be on Arteta, cant sign that lot and then still fail to win something major. Got to think he will be on wobbly ground if big silver hasnt been lifted by the end of this season. No excuses this time.

Even in the first season?

There's a lot of competition and everyone in the top 4 seems to be strengthening massively.

Not convinced on Gyokeres, he's a physical beast but he seems a bit like a poundshop Haaland. No doubt he'll score 40 now

My guess is that Newcastle pretty much accepted our first informal bid. There's absolutely no way they don't do business at less than £150m but instantly accept £150m. That's just Newcastle publicly stalling.

There is no other buyer in town and the player wants to leave. It'll get done so long as Newcastle sign a forward or two. If they don't they'll be getting a lot less than £120-£150m come January or next summer and that's all on them.

I was thinking about a second team to support so I can feel involved in the European matches this season. I think it'll have to be Newcastle as a sympathy supporter, especially when we get Sesko.

Looks like Man Utd are trying to block the isak move by chasing every player we get linked to

He'd better or he might not get a 2nd season with them. It might be their first season together but it will be 7 seasons for Arteta, with just 1 FA Cup to show for it, which isnt good enough for a club like Arsenal and as we all know, when the chips are down its the manager who pays the price.

Sorry, I still can't see Liverpool signing Isak

We need central defenders far more than another striker.

Also, we've already shattered our transfer record this window, it's not happening again.

Marc Guehi is a much more likely target.

We need at least another striker as well as a CB.

Last season we had Diaz, Gakpo, Jota, Darwin, Chiesa, Salah as forward options. Elliot at a push.

We currently have Gapko, Ekitike, Darwin, Chiesa and Salah, with Darwin and Chiesa expected to leave. Elliot and Ngumoha at a push. We're already one down before we sell the other two.

Wirtz and Szoboszlai as well, surely? Admittedly they're each 50% midfielder 50% forward, but between them you get the one forward we're "missing".

Yeah to an extent but I don't think either of these replaces Diaz, and although Ekitike does somewhat, that still leaves Jota, Darwin and Chiesa to be replaced.

Also Salah played the most minutes last year. He played three times as many as Jota or Darwin. I don't think we'll see that again especially with the AFCON.
